Mentioning cell phones, that is my watch. I have a Fossil ( think) watch around here somewhere that runs good and took a lot of abuse, but I haven't worn it in over a year.

Tag's are nice, I think that my next watch will be one. Another watch to consider is Tissot they are made by the same company as Omega (another great watch, love my Seamaster). I have a T-Touch that I wear to work daily, after three years it has only needed a battery.

Guys I love having a good watch. It is one of the few things you can buy yourself and actually use everyday. Just think of all the purchases you have made that are sitting useless 99% of year.

Rolex's are notorious for being overated just do some research. With that said you can't go wrong buying one because they keep their value.

OMEGA, watches are incredible and will be my next. I have an OLD omega that is rough condition but I love wearing it. E-Bay has great deals just buy from a reputable dealer and make sure the paper work is in order. This is the one I want for graduation.

Sub 500 watches I just don't think you can go wrong with Seiko's (they make Pulsar's by the way). I never take my watch off 24/7. I've had a flight seiko for 12 years keeps perfect time and took a hell of a beating. I am wearing a Seiko Titanium Like this

If you are looking for a true BIG TIME watch. Anything automatic with 21 jewels or more is what you need to look for. The more jewels the auto has the more complicated and the more accurrate it is supposed to be. A good watch is an intense work of craftmanship. Tourbillion, is the next step in watch manufactureing. This movement is said to be the most technological movement ever and you pay for it but its amazing.Tourbillon Movement

BUT, any watch is cool, if you like it. Timex's with the green bands are some of my favorite.

Breitling all the way. You'll end up giving it to your great grand children. Yes, I have one, a custom made one in fact, one of 46 made.

I collect watches. I've had good luck with Seiko. I've had one of them for over 10 years now. When I used to be a mechanic, I would wear a Timex IronMan Triathalon for a work watch, never had one fail on me. I would usually get it caught on something & break it so I just bought a new one. I owned a Bulova for almost 15 years until I gave it to someone as a gift. Skagen makes a nice titanium watch. I have one & I can't tell it's on my arm. I have a Citizen World Timer as my current work watch. All 24 time zones at the push of a button. Forget Rolex, for the price of one Rolex, you can buy two Breitling's.

I have always wanted a Rolex and treated myself to one almost six years ago. I originally wanted a two-tone, blue-faced Submariner, but when I was working in Yokosuka, Japan (July, 2000), I was at the Navy Exchange and they had GMT Masters (stainless steel, blue/red 24 hour bezel) for sale. Timing is everything (no pun intended), had the bones for the watch and it was going for $2050.00, NEW! (Normally twice as much, at least, here in the states.). I had it checked out by a licenced Rolex dealer and it is a genuine Rollie. For an automatic watch, it keeps the best time (for me, gains 1 minute every 6-8 months). It is a heavy watch but it is bulletproof and I love it!!!! A little scratched up but cleans up nice. It is like wearing a killer suit, you can tell it is quality and people can see it as well. (Sorry for a momentary lapse into shallow materialism, I am back now.).

Wow I totally forgot that I started this thread. I guess I should have updated it when I got my Breitling Colt Automatic. Here is a link for those interested. I couldn't have been happier with my decision to go with Breitling.

I have a Timex Expedition with a built in compas for my daily watch but when I go out on a photo shoot I always put on my "Nikon" watch. The Nikon, I think, is just a cheap watch made by Sweda but it looks good and keeps great time.

The wife, for our 1st anniversary got me the Tissot touch screen in titanium. Top quality, good looks and a ton of gadgets built in like an altimeter, baramoter, temp, alarm, stopwatch & compass and is very lightweight. It tells time too.

heres the link:http://www.tissot.ch/?mod_collection...61/action_show
