You asked, Jamzwayne and Thumper

Jamz, you and Thumper asked for pics of my Mustang. Finally got a couple this morning, though they are not very good. I put them in my gallery. The car was a full drag car, not street legal before I acquired it. It ran a stroked 289, 4 speed with 5.11 gears, no radiator. Had a teardrop fiberglass hood with a highrise intake. The guy jerked the driveshaft out of the thrid member coming off the line and never put it back together. I bought it with 55,000 miles on it and restored it in 1985. It now has about 71,000 miles on it. Sits in my garage most of the time, just get it out to play occasionally. Has Shelby suspension and shocks, 289 HiPo with a Holley 650 double pumper, 4 speed, 3.50 gears. It was one of the early Fastbacks and is a rare color, Twilight Turquois. Thanks for inspiring me to get a couple of pics to add to my gallery. Will try to get better ones when I have more time.

Looks great, Jim. My mother had a '65 Mustang when I was a kid. Burgundy, 289, auto. She sold it for $300 when I was 14, pissed me off because I would have bought it if she had even so much as hinted that she wanted to get rid of it.

One day I'll have my Mustang.

Those are bad pictures, but a nice looking car. Wanna give it to me?

I cant afford anything right now...just bought a car, and now I have 3 (three) freaking car payments.

Thanks for sharing those.

I live about 5 minutes SE of Spinks airport, out in the oak forest. Off Hoover Road, which is off Burleson-Retta.

Thanks for the comment. I haverestored several, though not recently. Have had a 70 Boss 302 and a 67 Shelby that I restored. They are a lot of fun. I still have my street rod truck, a 54 Ford with a 351 Clev and nitrous. I have it in storage now.

Yep, it was a borrowed camera, plus I know nothing about cameras anyhow. I will try to get better replacements.

Sure, I know most of the back roads. Go out Renfro a lot. Not much of the "sticks" left. Too many people.
