Well gator, misery loves company. My 17 year old took my wifes 2001 civic and ran into a curb. 700 dollars later, he paid with wages working at jack in the box, he took the car to register at school in Moscow Id. and rolled it.
He is now the proud owner of of A new $200 huffy. I told him if he wrecks it, nike had a sale going on at walmart!

Gator.
With regard to the learning how to spell thing . . . .

it's YOU'RE ugly, not YOUR. (Plus, you've got a minor violation there with "dont" instead of "don't").

Nice try though.

Hopefully you realize that we're just messing with you.

And since I'm an equal opportunity corrector -

Legible isn't exactly the proper word to use here . . . legible is used to describe handwriting or print and if it is physically clear enough to read. Seeing as how Matt's post is presented in type on a computer screen (on this forum so I know the typeface is clear) it's safe to assume it was "legible" (unless, of course, your monitor is totally out of focus). You'd do better to use intelligible.

I'm bored . . . y'all should resurrect Just Ask Kobi™ (but not until House finishes airing tonight). (Great show, by the way).

I dont think the less cylinders= less accidents applies to me either.

Only behicle I ever owned that had an engine with less than 8 cylinders was a 1978 Plymoth Volare. Bought the car for $75, drove it home and invited my friends over. We went to the store and bought a bunch of spraypaint and painted all over the car. Then I drove it to the strip pits (abandoned coal mines for you city guys) and drove it HARD! Took off across the fields and jumped hills and cut donuts and drove at 50 MPH through big azz water holes. Best $75 I ever spent. After a few times of that, all the tires were flat, the transmission was just about shot, and there were four holes in the headliner from our heads slammin into it. Then I wrecked it into a tree on accident because it would turn very well.

To sum it up, only vehicle I ever wrecked had the smallest engine.

Yes I had full coverage on it. But they asked my wife if the air bags came out and said becouse of that they may total it.

I just dont think I will find another one that nice for the same money.
I payed 6g for it. What you think they will give me for it if they do total it out?

Gator.

I guessed it at a 97, if it was loaded with EVERYTHING...

Engine: V8 5.0 Liter
Trans: Automatic
Drive: AWD
Mileage: 85,000

Equipment
Air Conditioning
Rear Air
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo
Cassette
Multi Compact Disc
Premium Sound
Dual Front Air Bags
ABS (4-Wheel)
Leather
Moon Roof
Roof Rack
Privacy Glass
Running Boards
Custom Bumper
Grille Guard
Towing Pkg
Premium Wheels

and in "good" (meaning free of any major defects) condition... Kelly Blue book gives it a Trade in value of $5,695 in my area.. That varies depending up on your location too. Maybe you can get the full trade in value out of it though.

If they do total it... Then you ussually have the option to buy it back from them with a salvage title. Ussually only like $50-100 to the original owner. Buy it back, use the money they paid you for it to fix it. Then sell it again and you can make about 25% or more gain on total over all investment, which is about 75% gain on your out of pocket.
OR.... use it for a trade in.

I know? Get the insurance money, buy it back, fix it, then sell it again. You can buy 30 Huffy's, hehe. One for each day of the month. (depends on the month) If you decide to keep it, give her the truck, and drive the nice one yourself. That's how it works in most families anyway. Hmmm, do they make restrictor plates for street vehicles? Hehe!

It's a mystery now, but likely she meant to hit the brake, and hit the gas instead. I did that once in a 75 Impala 4 door. I jumped two driveways, took out two mailboxes and small ditch bridge. I paid for all the repairs to the car and property, and came out okay. The car got a dented oil pan, a broken fender cap, and a hole in the gas tank. A few days later it was back on the road, and none the worse for wear. I was watching the temp gauge on the dash, it tended to overheat. To this day that is the only accident I have been in that was my fault. I'm almost 38, so I guess I've been lucky ,,,,98

My advice, as if you asked for it? Take the money,, give up the vehicle,, put money in the bank,, and buy something cheaper and just as safe for her to drive.

You are one of the few folks on here that actually type more then a few words. With that said, I read most of your posts.
