Yeah, but you gotta bling it out for her at least. I mean, what are parents for? I was generous in my estimate, but in reality I have no idea what a Huffy costs... last bike I bought was $900 or so (Canondale).

You are so very correct, and your point is?

Huffy's are in the $90 to $110 range at the moment. You could get a 50's Huffy(Huffman) for $200, then spend another 150 bucks making it ridable. Not pretty, but ridable.

As for the safety of a rotary engine, it's the car it's in not the engine. I got in plenty of trouble in my wife's 82 RX-7. Never wrecked it, but it did scare me a few times by dirfting unexpectedly. My driving had a lot to do with it of course.

That was one lucky daughter to get such a nice vehicle. Until I got my truck all I had were junkers which I paid for myself. I think your daughter should buy the next one herself as well. It would teach her the value of something that expensive. Meanwhile she can ride a bike, that's one thing I agree on. Look up the statistics on accidents with multiple teens in the car, they go up. WAY up!,,,,98

I restored a 1965 Galaxy hardtop for my daughter. She had one of the coolest rides in school. It had a mild cam, Holley 4 barrel, shift kit and a 390. It was lowered a couple of inches all the way around(about 2 inches lower in the front than the rear) and had some great wheels, and it was painted IROC blue with a tuck and roll interior. I chose a Galaxy because it was a lead sled and anything that hit it would suffer more damage than it did. I taught her to drive sensibly, when to go fast and when to go slow. She is 34 now and has never had a wreck. I swapped her a restored 66 Mustang Fastback for that Galaxy, drove it a couple of years, then sold it. Sure would like to have it back.

Glad no one was seriously hurt in your daughter's wreck.

What a shame...able to afford what looks like at least 3 nice vehicles in the driveway and can't spell a single word. I could only wish I could afford 3 vehicles......

On another note, i'm glad your daughter and her friends were not badly hurt.

A good 'ol F700 that I still love. Hardtail with the original fathead or whatever they called it front shock. Full suspension is for serious downhill action. Not many mountains here in MI.
