I've skied down runs that were near 14-15,000 feet.

That's awsome PhillipSVT! My girl and I love to hike. We've done the highest mountian in New England, Mt. Washington but it's a far cry from the mountians out west. I've got to get out there one of these days. I love the views from the top of a mountian so I can really appreciate your pic!

Non-Official Colorado Slogan's
"Thank you for visiting our beautiful state, and thank you for going home and not staying."
"Welcome to Colorful Colorado, now go home."
"Colorado, home of Mountain Men, not men mounting men."

PhillipSVT, thanks for enjoying our many 14ers. There's many more to conquer.

I have been to the top of Mt. Fuji in Japan...it's only like 12,000' but it was awesome to look down in the crater of a Volcano.

Ya, the view is amazing from the tops. The day we climbed this one, was really cloudy out, so the view wasn't as good. However, being in the clouds was neat in its own way.

That would be crazzy!!! I'll stick with the 14's right now. They are a lot cheaper to climb, and dont take a year away from your job. McKinley would be fun one day though.....

Ya, I'm working on the pics right now. As for the vid, something is messed up with my firewire card, so have to get that fixed. BUT... it will defffinatly be a good vid (the backside has a huge drop... lets just say the camera deffinatly got a good angle on it )

The worst part about climbing the mountain was adjusting to the elevation change in 36 hours. We left Oklahoma (1,100') Friday around 12:30, and arrived in Colorado Saturday around noon, then climbed the mountain the next day (Sunday), so not much time to adjust from 1100' to 14,309' .

I'm curious where that was at b/c the highest runs in north america are at A. Basin and that's only about 13,000. So unless you were heli-skiing or doing some back country chit........
