Yea we all hate that stage of the game... There are atleast 3 other memebers on here right now that are going through that with you... I think 2 are thinking about getting out completely. Once you get through that stage then it's not bad, and can be fun. stressful but fun... I had to get out and go part time do to the stress. It was causing health problems and more importantly I was losing my hair becasue of it!

guys, I GOT IT!! I am officially wireless! I got the Linksys wireless router for about $80 at Wal Mart. Hooked it up like it said, barely read the CD instructions. It was getting a full signal but was not connecting to the internet, and neither was any other computer in my house. Since the phone line to the DSL modem was still plugged in, but without any power (I switched out power plug outlets for the routers), I thought that might be an issue. So what I did was, I had to adjust the MAIN power plug for the whole computer, move it up on the outlet to fit the regular DSL modem power plug. Then, the computer restarted, all 3 lights shone on the DSL modem. I was getting internet on my laptop (wireless) as well as the other 2 computers!! I am so excited, I am not sure if this makes sense even. lol

But I DID IT!! WOOO Thanks guys for helping me out. You're the best!

There you go!
Glad we could help. Now you have to walk around your house with your laptop surfing the internet in the living room, kitchen, porch/balcony and even the bathroom. Why? Because you can. Because you connected your wireless network essentially on your own and you need to celebrate.
