I mean I wasn't expecting huge gains but I figured the weight to power ratio could somehow come into play, but these 4.6 are kinda weak. I do regret not getting the 5.4 but I dont believe they come in the flareside, cause thats what salesman told me at the dealership. I guess I should just suck it up and keep modding cause I do love the way it looks and I did get a pretty good deal on it.

Hell yeah !!! As a matter of fact, there are a few RC's new body styles running down HEMI's left and right.
Send a HEMI my way, he better be hella modded to beat me.

I checked your profile and all I can say is, wow those #'s are impressive. And you're not running any power adder, thats all motor? I hope I can get somewhere near there with my truck.
12k for a truck? I don't know about that place but there are dealerships around here that advertise current model year vehicles for a wopping 50% off. WOW! You know how they do that? They are used. '05s have been out for at least a year now. I'd be willing to bet that these 12k Hemis are used Hemis.
The 4.6 is not a weak motor. It's not the motor for hauling or towing heavy loads, the 5.4 is designed for that duty. The 4.6 isn't a powerhouse in stock trim, especially for thoes of you with drive by wire. Thoes new F150's are heavy too. The 4.6 in the '98 I had, woke up more and more with each mod. The supercharger really did the trick. It costs a few bucks, but it's a great learning experiance and made the truck fun as he!! to drive. That's obviously not for everyone but spending a few bucks might wake up that motor and make it feel more worth while. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't give up on that 4.6. There is good power in there and there are people here who can aid you in safely tapping into it.

So you can get a flareside 5.4, thats all I cared about, I wanted the flares and my 4 ft tall salesman told me it didn't come in the flareside.

Funny, we have Chrysler and Ford here....I only see Chrysler doing this practice of transporting vehicles to lots around the area....
I will say, that the 2 yrs that they have been doing this here at my work...I have yet to understand the logic of how this is saving them time and money....

On a side note...Back in January when I was looking for a new truck...I did extensive research and testing prior to choosing a truck....believe me....I am not one to throw $30k+ at something that is not going to last through the years....I felt that I was impartial to all brands and would have honestly choosen any of them....but it was FORD that I choose...I grew up in a Chevy family and gave Ford owners a REAL hard time....so you can imagine my surprise and my families when I drove home a FORD....
NoName...I can tell you from experience that you will have nothing but trouble with that Dodge if you were to buy it....They are nice looking trucks and have an AWESOME engine...but the quality of the build is sub-par and will cause you troubles in the long run...but...like anything else in life....it is YOUR decision and I am sure you will make the right one for YOU....but for ME...I will not sacrifice safety and security on the road for "style" and "speed".....

Style...Definitely not, 04-05 Ford one of the most beautiful pickups ever made IMHO.
