Sounds like those guys have more money than brains and dont respect their vehicals much! Always telling my son who has a turbo'd custom Blazer (lowered, 22's) that you just have to look cool, you dont have to prove it!!!

I will never foot the bill of a new vehicle to my kids (when I have them)...They will drive around in the same POS I did until they are able to afford their own insurance and car/truck payment...kids these days have no sense of responsibility or work ethics...

I'll second Jamz "AMEN". That's how my parents did it and I tell you what, I had the cleanest and most well maintained vehicle of all of my friends who were handed cars/trucks.

careful now hehe... while I whole heartedly agree with the first part, i'd be one of those kids... the only thing my parents pay is my insurance (until i wreck, or get a violation). all maintenance was on me. bought my 92 jeep when I was 14, just sold that to my 14 y/o brother, and am buying my truck now (22). my other brother (17) is buying his 01 tacoma lol...we aren't all bad

When I was 16 my mom and dad started out paying for my insurance and 1 tank of gas per week. When I got my first ticket Dad quit paying for both. I was stuck driving the same 1985 Bronco II until I got almost out of high school (1998). I screwed up bad and I paid for it.

So young Mr. Hemi (that's what I call him now) shows up for work without his
" way cool truck" I said where's the rig, he says it wasn't idling right so he dropped it off at the dealer, I smiled and offered too take him back to pick it up later, he said ha ha very funny and walked away. I guess he didn't want
the ride ..

On a second note .. That's a killer sig you got going now jamzwayne

I may not pay for my truck but that doesnt mean I dont deserve it. I keep the grades and stay out of trouble so I got a truck. I work during the summmer and buy all of my cloths and what ever I want to buy. I wouldnt if my parents didnt make me cause I could buy a lot of mods for 700 bucks. It teaches me some responsibility and money managment. My parents know whos gonna take care of em when they get old
