I can tell you one reason and it might be the reason I switch if my truck ends up a buyback.
The reason is Ford wont fix my truck. They dont have a fix and Roush doesnt have a fix. So they say its definitely a trait of the vehicle. They are now forcing me into arbitration.
My only problem is my local dealer. I have purchased 6 vehicles from them. They are even on my side for the upcoming hearing. This makes for a tough decision.
If I do switch I will go back to a 4x....probably a Tacoma.

well if i was buying a truck now it would be a tough choice for me between chevy and ford- it was last time. i like them both equally- i bought the ford cuz the price was much better at the time- and i do love the truck. no problems so far 
however- if i decided to go with a heavier truck it would definetely be the super duty
