Can't you get a new one for about that with the Chevy Employee Pricing?

Go to the Chevy website and do a search of a dealer lot with one equipped similarly and they should have some information about the price.

I am assuming that Chevy is still doing the Employee pricing.

I did exactly that after making that post and actually found a fully loaded Sierra 1500 SLT which MSRP at $39,000 and they said the employee pricing was $30,000, and Im pretty sure they might even come off that a little.

trytokeepup

I do remember telling people that and if I told people that with problems that I have been experiencing, Im sorry. I don't remember if they were problems like mine or much less severe problems. Everyone on here as well as you know most of the people with vibe issues or steering wheel issues weren't able to get it fixed. If Ford offers me a brand new 06 F-150. Cover a few costs. Im fine with taking one home and driving it for a week before sealing the deal, thats my number one choice. Im just really making sure I have a back-up plan thats all. Right now my number one choice would be getting either a Black Lariat or FX4 SCREW with black leather and a sun roof. Plus I'd be able to use all of my stuff from this truck on the new one and I wouldn't lose a bunch of money on the aftermarket parts I've spent on this truck!

I have seen some posts about guys just having to come up with the difference in MSRP from the trucks window sticker if they upgrade to an '06. That would probably be the easiest option.

As far as the Chevy/GMC trucks go, my dad has a 2005 Z-71 crew cab and it is pretty nice. They would definitely be my 2nd choice in truck and I might have bought one if Ford hadn't come out with the Ford Family Plan. I will warn you though that the Tahoe's and Chevy Trucks are on the last leg of their body style. You will see a new style out in about 2 years probably. The F-150's are just hitting the middle of the cycle of their current body style. You probably won't see any MAJOR exterior changes until 2010-2011 or maybe even later.

This is my 3rd Ford truck that I have ever owned and so far they have been bulletproof. Hopefully I will continue my run of good luck with Ford trucks. I would hate to be disappointed to the point that I would consider purchasing another brand.

All is good. Just hate seeing a ford guy switch to something else. Always good to have a back up plan.

As far as comparing a 2005 chevy silverado ls vs. my 2005 lariat....not even a comparison. My uncle just got a supercrew when i got mine. Both are nice trucks but as far as ride....mine rides like a dream compared to his. I have more room in the back seat, my interior is much nicer and "class" than his. He even knows this. Im pulling better gas mileage than him and i wouldnt be afraid to line my truck up to his and run em. Its all about personal preference and i love my truck.

Now if i didnt have so much ford blood in me...thanks to my dad and uncle that works at ford, i would consider the dodge hemi sport. I just like the looks of them alot. Interior sucks but love the body styling on the fronts.

On another note...thumper...do you have msn messenger by chance? If so give me your email address if ya want.

I don't have MSN only AIM.

I was just looking at trucks at dealers near me and I found a bunch of fully loaded King Ranch 4X4s for $33,000 so that might even be an option. Im pretty sure I've never seen a new King Ranch lifted.

Me too. I don't care if you didn't ask or think I'm an ***.

FYI, there are no automobile manufacturers without problem children escaping from the assembly line. It sucks that you got one, and Ford SHOULD buy it back. For all the crap you've gone through for this long, they should also give you a hefty discount on top of the great prices they have now. However, if you should decide to go Chevy or Dodge or Nissan or whatever, you won't be free and clear of that risk of getting another problem child. For sure though, there seem to be fewer probs with the 05s. Hopefully, the 06's will be even better.

I would love to see a 6" lift on a KR too.

Good luck.

No, you can get a $2500 discount on top of the Employee pricing, thats exactly why Ford has a $3000 discount on top of the Employee pricing they have.

Not according to when I was looking at GMC because my dad called the GMC people and said the discount on your website I take off 2500 dollars more correct and they said no it is already in the price..

I am almost positive that the price is like he said. The discount is already taken and the price on the website is the final price.
