You are a dedicated truck man.
To be fair, I don't drive a lot of miles (just passed 60000 km) like you guys do but it is expensive.
Not to mention other costs.
I am driving this truck since May 1999 and the lowest I have seen is $3.50.

With all due respect to our friends in Europe you really can not compare their gas prices to ours. They have a huge socialist state and the vast majority of their gas price is tax to pay for all the “free” goodies they get.

Remember, this is something they want and vote for and have done so for many decades…

On another note, environmentalist are not really concerned about the environment when it comes to drilling for oil. They are only concerned with restricting what Americans can do in America. They could give a crap about what other third world countries screw up environmental wise and until they start protesting what third world countries do they will never be taken serious.

Alaska has “nothing” to do with the environment and “everything” to do with a power trip environmentalist have, therefore until more Americans grow some ***** and start standing up to these uneducated idiots they will continue to control our lives and do everything in their power to suck as much money out of Americans when it comes to energy needs…

We're up to $2.65 as of this afternoon. I'm guessing $2.75 by friday. The energy and highway bills passed just setup US oil companies for a rocket ride; tax cuts, highways and supply problems. Open yourself up a Scottrade account and buy a little Sunoco. Trading at $64.15 and going uphill. Oil company stock prices are literally doubling right now--Sunoco in only 12 months.

What do you have to pay for car insurance there?

Come on Burt, I know you think only conservatives actually believe in anything, but that's only in your head. Do you mean those environmentalists that have been protesting in the rainforest, or in Portugal, or Australia, the ones protesting over fishing in Canda, the ones in Kenya protesting the sale of forest land, or the ones in India or China protesting lack of construction development? They do care, and they do try to change things everywhere. As ridiculous as they are at times, they've done a lot of good. I know this is tough for a conservative, but you can actually be environmentally consious, and not be a tree hugger. The very rivers in your state were cesspools in the 70's, you can thank environmentalist wackos for the clean water you have now, and a bunch of right-wing capitolists for screwing it up in the first place. Money is good, but it's not everything.

I was coming home from a friend's house tonight and gas prices I saw were averaging 10 cents higher than they were this morning. I filled up my truck yesterday for $2.18 and the cheapest I saw tonight was $2.29. Diesel is over $2.50.

Full coverage $830 a year.(70% discount due to damage free years)
Deductible $375

Road taxes used to be $450 a year for me owning a business.
I sold the business last year, road taxes will go up to about $725 for me soon.

So I can expect lots of "free" goodies in the near future.
