I just turned 20K miles on my 2005 F250 P-stroke coming home from Alabama last night. I've had zero problems with the truck.

A good friend of mine has an '03 6.0 with 100K heavy towing miles, no problems on his either.

What else do you want to know?

I test drove the Chebby before I bought this truck. The Duramax seemed powerful, but I didn't like the rest of the truck. Too close to the same interior they've had for years, and I still can't make myself like the front end.

Do yourself a favor and test drive a Power Stroke before you buy.

Here's an idea, buy the Chevy, then find a Chevy forum and start a thread " Chevy Sucks" and see what kind of help you will get there. I don't mean to flame you, I just hope you see my point.

Sheesh. Tough Crowd, huh?

Yo Bob. If you really are seeking advice, then listen up. The Chevy Duramax has a serious hit or miss record. You may think that our Fords have that problem too, but not nearly to the extent of the Duracraps.

They have proven to be a good motor for long trips in an unloaded pick-up. However, if you start using the bed to haul stuff, or hitch up a trailer, then good luck making 500 miles. They're the crap of the big three.

You want good power and performance, go PowerStroke.

You want good power and great mileage, go Cummins.

You want a quiet diesel, lousy performance, so-so mileage, and high rate of repair, go Duramax.

And remember, Bob spelled backwards is boB.

I looked at a Chevy. I didn't drive it though.

I'm a Ford guy but seeing this thing out there got me qurious. It's a little too flashy for my taste but my truck is getting up there in years. You know.

MSRP: $ 38,909
Stock#: 9789
Vin#: 1GCEC14VX5Z262734
Type: 2 Door Truck Fullsize Regular Cab
Ext. Color: Orange
Int. Color: Black
Transmission: Manual-5
Engine: 4.8 V8

The biggest problem I saw with this truck is the price. WOW, what a rip off.

Car and Driver tested the three domestic deisels and picked the Ford. They said that the GM didn't have the power you would expect nor the fuel economy.

Just a little input from me...Im having some issues with my truck and ford is doing their best to get it fixed. Fixed or not, I wouldnt trade it for a chevy or a dodge if you paid me. The dodge is a decent truck, my older bro has one. He loves it as much as I love my Ford. Chevy..boring and ugly IMO. Plus, a guy at work just bought a chevy truck Denali package. Its 2 years old but looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor on the outside..BUT, the interior is shot. The leather seats are cracking like nothing ive ever seen before. Ive had my truck a year and 8 months and 32,785miles and my leather seats look like the day I took it home.

Its been said, get what you want and be happy. Just dont come here and say ford sucks and then expect some positive feed back.

You think the orange is bad? They had another one just like it, only birght yellow. I guess some sucker bought it. Both trucks had been sitting there for at least two months. Lately only the orange one is there. If they had given them blue or silver paint I would guess that they could have suckered someone into buying one sooner.

The real killer is, when I stopped by to see what these trucks were I asked if they were eligible for the "employee discount". They said no. The truck is eligible for a 3k discount off the 26k base price but there were no discounts on the 12k aftermarket upgrade package. 12k? I think there asking almost twice what that upgrade package is worth.
