Funnily enough, me too except on business.
I'll be flying up to Anchorage on the 17th and then onwards to the oilfields of the North Slope.

Land of the Midnight Sun this time of year

Back again at the end of the month.

I went last year for two weeks up into the ANWR about 50 miles from the Arctic Ocean and hung around Fairbanks for a few days... It's a fantastic place !!!!! Have fun and take lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. If I could live there for a few months out of the year I would be goooooonnnnneeee....

The weather should be about perfect up there right now......

Take lots of pics.

I agree with kobiashi.

I have heard horror stories of the mosquitoes up there. They have been known to carry off small children.

Also, I agree with SEU1. Please, for the love of PETE, take a lot of pics.

Here's a term you'll soon learn "Combat Fishing". I lived in Anchorage in the late 90's. Ships creek in downtown Anchorage is probably the best fishery around when the kings are running. The Kenai has some big wild kings but they're few of them. Can't remember when the reds are running up the russian river but that is combat fishing to the extreme.

Take a reputable halibut boat out, one big enough to go out aways.

Never mind....just noticed your done gone :o

King Salmon ROCK!

I'm heading up to Ludington (michigan) when they start their fall run. Hopefully I spend a week up there.

Hey I-menace, is the run around the middle of September? I would love to hit those for a few days and then head to Canada.

Depends on the weather, the rivers have to hit a certain temperature, I gorget what it is off hand.

Generally towards the end of summer I visit this regularly
