And you nit-pick. (shrug) 'he' has been used to refer to 'God' for ages...if you can't get past that, I can't help.

Just like you and I may post here on this forum for YEARS - have lots of dialog; study and research eachother's posts/writings. Even with all that, I'll never really 'know' you until I sit down and share a beer with you.

That's the best example of a reprobate mind that I've seen since the Sodomite parade on the news !

Let me see if I get you:

"Me saying I'll not really 'know' that guy until I meet him face-to-face is an example of a reprobate* mind"?

Funny...Christ spent a LOT of time with hookers and thieves and such...but my suggesting that we never really 'know' someone until we meet them is somehow bad?

You're high, brother...and not on God.

Oh...

Amazing how that happens.

I have answers to all of Mighty Whitey's questions, but I also have a job. I also have a life outside of this board, so it makes it hard to reply in a timely matter. There are just not enough hours in a day. Plus, it seems that someone here doesn't want to be confused by the facts.

Mighty, while I'm sure you will keep posting all the nonsense, I'll provide answers for you to your ligitimate questions as I have time. I'm not sure if it will do any good anyway. As far as the Copywrite infringment questions you pose for the NIV, NASB, etc..., I can only say this. These translations were done by organizations. These organizations spent alot of time, and money on creating these translations. They are businesses, and they do need to make money. However, what that Copywrite also does is keeps Joe Blow from taking their work, and adding to or subtracting from it. Does having that Copywrite make it any less God's Word? Is making money on it wrong? If so, then the KJV should be GIVEN away for FREE. Of course, you know that can't happen, because it does cost money to produce any book. It cost's money to produce the KJV.

Plus, and I should have mentioned this first. Think about it!!! Were there copywrite laws in 1611???? NO. It's open for anyone to print. It's also open for anyone to tweak on. That's why Mormon's only accept KJV "as far as it's correctly translated". It's easy for them to tweak verses out of context using the KJV.

Before you go and jump on your next bandwagon, keep in mind that the KJV was translated by an "organization" if you will. Plus, the manuscripts that it was translated from, as I said earlier, were not as reliable as what we have today. The NASB is a much more accurate translation whether you want the wool over your eyes, or not. If you would study for yourself, and not get spoonfed by Gail Riplinger, you might be able to see that.

Now I ask again, what about those that can't read English around the globe? And what about those who lived and died before 1611? Are they all new agers eternally condemned?

Since you only deal in the KJV, here's a verse for you now.

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2Tim 2:15

Great post 1969Mach. There is no rational justification for insisting that the KJV is the only authorized version of the English Bibles for Christians, and that using another translation automatically makes one an apostate.

I would encourage Mighty Whitey, or anyone, for that matter to read here: http://www.layhands.com/WhyDoYouUseTheBloodlessNIV.htm for the most comprehensive rebuttal of the KJV-only position I've seen on the net.

This thread is a perfect example why my family doesnt go to church anymore. Seems like everything is a debate (EVERYTHING).

If I need to pray or be with him, I can take my Bible out in the back yard, sit under my Pecan tree and pray.

While I have not replied to any of your previous posts, I have too on this one, because I agree fully with your second comment.

Going to church makes you as much of a Christian as sitting in your garage makes you a car. It is not declared anywhere in Scripture that you attend a church every Sunday, (or Saturday for some). What is declared is that you don't forsake the gathering together of fellow believers.

With that said however, it's not a bad thing either to attend church, but with the corruption that goes on in today's "mainstream Christianity", It's hard to find a good Bible teaching church that walks the talk. I personally like Calvary Chapels alot, but I understand completely where you are coming from Jamz.
