Beautiful cars & I got smoked BIG TIME
Well the warm weather had awesome cars out on the road today. Caught a glimpse of a yellow Lamborghini going to the library. Then coming home the coolest Ferrari was in front of me.
Both cruising down the HOV lane, me trying to just get close enough to drool....everytime I'd get close, he'd goose it and burst ahead, but traffic kept him from totally dusting me.
Then I went around and headed towards my exit & he swoops over next to me , waves & boom---he's gone....
Beautiful yet it was disappointly rice sounding! I had to laugh as he blew my doors away, I mean c'mon I'm in a Mustang...not a prayer's chance!

Well, this will not be popular among Mustang guys...so, I'll brace myself
but, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is the bomb. Better than almost anything on the road.
Now if I only had 45 Gs
Actually if I had 45 Gs I'd get an 05 F-250 first

Yeah, the old Ferrari's sound like crap at idle to me. They sound sweet at full throttle, but at idle, it sounds like it may fall apart; at least the old one (348's & 355's) did. In contrast, the 360's are very refined. I pulled alongside Lance Armstrong (Or his clone) in a red-one next to me back in December 2005: I couldn't even hear his car... Then again, I have Flowmasters on my truck.
Back to the raggedy 355 though:
I was walking out if the Phillips 66 gas station when a guy pulled next to me in a black 355 Spyder. He had THE HOTTEST babe in the car with him; I mean, she made the outside air temperature increase by 3 degrees..
I looked in dismay at the worse sounding vehicle that I'd ever heard, short of my friends old 1977 Caprice Classic that we used to call "The Mothership". This Ferrari was a real rattle-trap.
As I got in my truck and looked down at them, as she looked up she could probably tell even though his wiper-blades probably costs more than my truck did, she knew I was not impressed by his Ferrari.
In and around Plano, TX with so many pro, and ex-pro athletes in this area (Mavericks, Cowboys, Rangers and to a lesser extent Dallas Burn, PGA golfers and Desperado's) not to mention a bunch of some-how otherwise affluent people- Ferrari's can be seen at least once daily. I've seen 348's, 355's, 360's, 550 Maranello's, one Testarossa and two 460 GT's. (Where are these people getting all this money??)
I was flash-passed (that's how fast they went past me) by a Ferrari and a C-5 Vette racing on the Dallas North Tollway headed south between Legacy and Parker one day, that was awesome. At speed they both sounded great- the Ferrari (360 Modena) was winning, but the Vette was gaining ground ever so swiftly.
