Tree-huggers still on Ford's case
Did you know the hole in the ozone layer is actually shrinking
But nuggets like this make me proud to own 2 v8 f150s, v8 lincoln ls, camaro ss v8, mustang gt/cs v8, and company truck v8...Im gona go out and start them every one and let them idle now.

One volcano erupts and you get more CO2 emitted than all other sources combined for decades to come.

Did you know the hole in the ozone layer is actually shrinking and the air quality has improved dramatically since the 70's? When all that is happening around us but the average temperatures continue to rise (and we're talking about 1° every century or something to that affect) how can they blame it on emissions? I personally believe that Global Warming has less to do with man made pollution and more to do with Mother Nature, maybe she's hit Menopause, damn hot flashes!!

Yeah, what's up with the Excursion now?
I dislike environmentalist FREAKS. My neighbor is one. When she introduced herself to me, the first thing she said was, "Hi, I'm so-and-so, and I'm a tree hugger."

Bah....we haven't talked since. That winter we got nailed with a good 2 feet of snow. I took out my blower and cleared my driveway, and two elderly women for free. I figured she loved water so much I left her frozen water right where it was.

Mine actually yelled at me for watering my lawn. Said I was a bad parent and "citizen of the planet".

jmeyerholtz, why so little?!
If these people want to see just how far auto makers have come in regards to reducing emissions, then let me fire up my '69 Tbird, built BEFORE these emissions laws. NO smog pump, NO catylitic converters. Just the engine and two huge pipes out the a$$.
I'll back her up to one of their houses and run a hose from the tailpipes into their living room and rev her up a few times. That'll show 'em!

There is no “proven” global warming and there is no hole in the ozone. Scientist have stated that there never was a hole or if there was there is no longer a hole.
There is a hole in the ozone layer, and it is shrinking; HOWEVER, their is more to the 'hole' story.
First off, emissions from our V8s have noting to do w/ the ozone layer - that's gloabl warming. The hole in hte ozone layer was related to chloroflourocarbons (CFCs).
The hole in the ozone layer occurs every year during respective winter in the northern and southern hemisphere. To produce ozone sunlight is required. When their is no sunlight in the polar regions during the winter months, the ozone layer thins out and develops a 'hole'. During the summer months, the layer typically repairs itself. For a few years the holes did not get fully patched. After CFCs were taken out of aerosol cans, the extra damage to the ozone layer appears to have been minimized.
