HEY! im just a really big enthusiast.. and i love trying to help people out... plus some of this crap is really fun to get into beats the hell outta watching TV, i dont watch tv at all.... if it aint a movie i can rent, i refuse to sit there and watch a bunch of boring reality series' and news programs..... pfft.. you spend half of each show watching commercials... i mean damn, its getting out of hand... pretty soon there will be 20 minutes of actual show time per hour, and the rest will be what it takes to put that 20 mins on the air.... re-****-you-luss..... so i stay online in my free time... i exercise my mind, and communicate with others... would you rather me become another TV veggie?

I do both. Dual Displays and a TV tuner. Ahhhhhhhh, that's nice...

It does have some practical uses. I'm not a gamer at all, main reason I use them is for Image Processing work.

Photo on one screen, adjustments done from the other. Instant feedback without having to click out of another window.

Also comes in real handy for some other stuff; i.e. you can have a web link pop up on the other screen when you click on it. You can see the linked page and the original at the same time. Makes searching a breeze.

a lot of the time though, I end up just watching tv on it.

I agree with the original post in this thread. I'm a post ***** myself, but this guy just blows me away. By his second day I quit reading his posts. But he's everywhere. His twin brother took over my last home forum and in a year and a half has over 9000 posts, almost all of which say absolutely nothing.

"asinine" questions? i thought thats what forums were about? repetative Qs about technical issues that with new knowledge and new experience, people share continuously making them more knowledgable about the field being discussed? If this forums response to every Q was "use the search feature" then whats the point of having a technical forum? This forum is dedicated to solving problems with todays issues in trucks.. and since there are only a certain amount of things that can go wrong, and only a certain amount of time that everything that CAN go wrong, will go wrong... i guess after a few months, maybe years, every possible question will have been answered, and thus... leaving this board useless.... i agree, questions like "where is my oil filter" and "what type of oil should i use" are kind of boring questions, and have been answered many times, and quite frankly, oil usage is explained in your user manual... tells you what to use, if you are experiencing a problem with thin oil, and you think thicker oil would work better, then do so.. other than that? stick with the factory reccomendation... but a lot of people want real-time answers.... not answers to a question from 7 months ago... maybe there are new users that have more information to share, or maybe people have been recently experimenting with new ideas on how to do things... this is why we refresh the ideas as we need them... to ensure things are "up to date" with current times and needs.... wait till the 04s and 05s start getting old.... hell, people have issues with them already... wonder why , but thats what this board is about... posting new challenges and old trivia in an attempt to excercise our minds..... just my $0.02... no flame intended, just hoping to open your mind as to why these threads seem "asinine" to you.

Let me draw you a mental picture.....

Dzervit - a big, lumbering giant

Everyone else on the boards - just so much little black dots scampering around down there near his feet.

If you don't scurry fast enough, he will just sqwash you
