Hemi Hemi Hemi!!!! Rated "R"
They still don't hold a candle to imports such as the Tundra
Anyway I am of the thought as some others . Buying my f150 for speed was the last thing I thought of when I bought this truck and I would guess thats inline with over 95% of the customers.Faster doesnt mean better built ,more powerful, longer lasting and torque where you need it.
HEY, I never said I want a Lexus feel truck! I do not buy import, never will. I simply said that the Lexus feel interior is what made up my mind. If the F150 didn't have such a NICE interior, I would have gone with the Ram HEMI sport. But I am happier with the F150 than I ever was with my dakota and I ever would have been with my Ram.

Whoever said Toyota isn't an import IS right. In fact it's rare for me to even call Toyota an import for they build more of their North Amercian vehicles here now than they build in Japan including the best selling car in North America, the Camry. Toyota probably puts as many Americans to work building their trucks as Ford (relative to the numbers sold of their respective vehicles obviously).
I think the Hemi and the F-150 are kind of differen't animals. The Hemi is still a real true truck with a truck appeal. While their is luxury built into it, it still offers the most "truck like" ride out of all available half tons today. The F-150 seems to be more on the smooth ride/comfort/aesthetics side of things.
The Tundra is a nice little truck, if it hadn't been so damn uncomfortable on the inside I might have bought one. I could have got over the fact that the interior looks like a camry. I think the F-150 us way ahead of the Ram (HEMI or not) b/c it can ride nice and still work as hard as any other truck on the market if not harder. JMHO
Any truck made these days is of good quality, and will last a long time with regular maintence, however after driving alot of the competition, i believe Ford makes the best overall truck for all uses, work, recreation, etc. I dont know why some people think that Dodges are complete crap. Theyre not as good as a Ford, but ive got a buddy who has a 96 1/2 ton with the 360. Its got 378,000 miles on it, yes 378k. He's replaced the motor once but never the tranny, just regular service. Dodges arent bad trucks. Wanna drive a low quality, car-like truck? Get in a base model 00-04 Chevy half ton. Seats ripping after 5,000 miles, doors, hood, tailgate , etc all light weight and creek like hell, rides like a car. Trust me theyre bad. And the Duramax's, drove a '04 turbo 4x4 ex-cab 'max 3/4 ton with a 6 speed, and honestly, i think in a dead out run with my 98 4.6, it'd be pretty close.
Ford rules!!

Too bad you won't consider the Tundra - you should at least give it a test drive. Toyota and Lexus share so many technologies, platforms, and engines now a days that it's difficult to tell a fully loaded Toyota apart from a Lexus sometimes. Although you can obviously figure out which one is which but it's difficult to look at an ES 330 when you have a fully loaded V6 camry for a cheaper price sitting right there with the exact same engine and tranny in it with the same seating capacity, space, room, platform, etc.
