I imagine most of the state is w/o power & will be for awhile but if you do read this I am praying for all of you. I can't imagine what you're going thru! We had some nasty windstorms last winter & 1 or 2 gusts had hit 80mph & I was terrified!

Have power on and off here. Have the generator ready to fire up if the power goes down for good.

Right now it is Blowing hard. Lots of rain too. Blowing sideways.

We're suppose to have this till sometime tonight. Very slow moving storm.

I went out this morning to check on my business. No one was on the road. Only saw a couple of other cars, that weren't cop cars.

So far my shop only lost both sign faces. They are smashed all over the parking lot.


Time to Duck and Cover.

atm here in tampa we have some pretty big gusts, the eye is supposed to go right over us i believe so i think this is gonna be fun. my mother and I were standin out in it and she got hit in the eye with somethin . This is my first hurricane so it is definately somethin cool, especially cause the winds aren't going to do a ton of damage so it's all good. Hopefully my school will get flooded tho it's only a mile or so away from me but it is a lot lower

 

i went out and made a movie real quick just so you can see what it's like, the quality sucks and everything sucks about it but ya know...it's an old digi camera. i'll use my dad's later when it really get's good if i still have power

getting some intense rain here in south Georgia, lots of junk falling from the trees... about 30mph winds too. flooding might be expected,, and at least 4" rain.

 

man it's really NOT that bad here... apparently it's not over tho lol i guess i still have the back end to go through. I've been asleep for the past 5 hours or so tho lol. I was tired i guess

btw i'm in tampa and it's supposed to be the worst here or somethin, i'm really not sure =P

Hurricane Ivan has become the third category 4 hurricane of the season with sustained winds of 135 mph. Hurricane watches are posted for Grenada and Barbados and more advisories will likely be issued over the next 12 hours. The forecast for Ivan takes the powerful hurricane on a west-northwest path over the next several days. This storm will need to be monitored closely over the next several days to see if there is any U.S. impact for this coming weekend.

 

NO Hurricane Ivan will be round 3.

We had Charley which destroyed everything from Punta Gorda to Orlando in a matter of hours. Currently I still have 40 plus mph winds at my house from Frances. The wind started blowing here on Saturday at around 12 noon. The local weathermen are suggesting that Ivan is headed to Florida also but are hesitant to talk about it.
