Now you're confusing me. I thought you were a liberal.

01, I'm assuming you missed this one and it's not that you don't have an answer...

Burt, Everytime you say the lefties, you include all of them. Not all liberals think alike, regardless of what you believe. Since you like to quote Democrats that stated there were WMD's, what about these righties that said there were none or that he was not a threat?

"He has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors" Colin Powell 24 February 2001

"But in terms of Saddam Hussein being there, let's remember that his country is divided, in effect. He does not control the northern part of his country. We are able to keep arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt. " Condoleezza Rice 29 July 2001

I apologize for not getting back to that one. First when I say liberals I general mean those that “really” think they are liberals. I should correctly state that “most” liberals rather then just using liberals.

In general terms “most” liberals do believe in the same basic principles as do the neoconseratives. Now many on the left use the term “neoconsertives” as if it is a bad name for some republicans of which very few ever called that take it as a bad thing. It, again generally, is considered a bad thing to liberals to be labeled liberals like its some kind of a bad name.

From many of our debates I would consider you basically a moderate so hopefully you do not think when I state the word liberal it is intended to mean you. I think, again personal opinion, that Raoul is not a liberal neither and more of a moderate. You two and others are just too sensible to be liberals…

Some may think I am real right wing, or neoconserative or a right wing extremist. I would tell you based on the majority of my beliefs and values that I am most defiantly to the right of moderate but pretty much in the mainstream as far as republicans go.

As to the quotes you posted and the link all I can say is it sure looks like that is what they said. Why they said that is beyond me when they say the opposite of that at times. Though I have great respect for both of them it saddens me they can not be consistent on what they mean. On the other hand they may have made those statements before they had all the information they now do. Not an excuse for them on my part but it is not fair to judge them on statements from the past when not given the opportunity to explain their reasoning for those statements when they made them…

Below is a perfect example of a liberal. You give them the opportunity to offer a solution and since they have none and/or they are unable to debate in a logical manner they revert back to what they have learned which is to be a follower and when backed in the corner offer nothing but, well I don't know you try to figure out what the quote is suppose to mean...

Political ads are aimed at people like you, nice little easy to understand sound bites and you grab it and run with it without ever knowing all the facts.
geez, no need to get nasty and personally belittle people you've never met. you need to learn to see the humor in the chop job I did with your words. obviously it was a joke to poke fun. don't presume to know me, my political interest, or my consumption of information.

this is where i would get nasty and shred you for shredding me, but in order to avoid hypocrisy, i will keep my personal opinions about you to myself.

Ok, well obviously you do not have a solution to offer so perhaps we can give you a very simple task if you’re brave enough to accept the challenge…

You seem to believe I offer nothing but nonsense with no regard for what is fact and fiction so how about you give me some actually examples?

How about you give me 5 – 10 examples of the nonsense I offer.

Also how about 5 – 10 examples of facts I present you believe to be fiction.

You need at least 5 each which should be very simple since I have many post in just this thread but knock yourself out if you wish and search back to any post I have every made. Let’s see what you come up with…

Nothing like actually offering some “facts” to back up your accusations…

Well, I really don't like seeing hate from either side. It would be great if each side could walk a mile in the others shoes. I do believe that from the far right, to the far left, and everything in-between, truly loves America and even though their vision, thoughts and opinions differ, they believe their ideas are the answer. I think the KKK loves America, but that it would be better their way. I also believe that most people, myself included, don't have enough worldliness to know what is best for everyone. As far as I'm concerned, as a nation, we need to care of the needy, not the lazy, the government should provide basic infrastructure, military, money, roads, things like that. Beyond that, if what you're doing isn't harming anyone else, you should be able to do it. Thanks for your response on the Rice\Powell thing.

Burt I don't mind if you call me a liberal.

By the way that goes for any of you should you ever find yourself out this way... It don't matter if you ever agree with me or not...
Thanks for the invite Burt but, if you buy a steak for everyone that dissagrees with you, Cowlady will be on the Hotline to PETA.

(Not to mention beef prices would skyrocket and analysts will be trying to figure out what in the heck is going on)

Those “some” are Clinton, Hillary, Kerry, Kennedy, Algore and many others in their group.

It is those very same individuals that today have done a complete 180 on the issue and therefore have destroyed their creditability. Clinton is perhaps not as bad as the rest because he has indeed backed President Bush on a few occasions as far as this war with Iraq and terrorism in general. Hell the guy has to since it is he who first started this thing in the 90’s, it is he and many of his democrat friends in Congress that wanted him to INVADE Iraq and called for regime change.

It was not President Bush who first uttered the words regime change in Iraq it was Clinton and other democrats that were spouting that way before President Bush…

What makes this an important issue is it shows that many democrats in power today are not worthy of the office they hold. They have either completely LIED to the American public OR they are so spineless with absolutely NO moral values they do not deserve to be in public office. They all changed their mind because there is a Republican in the White House and that is the ONLY reason….

That goes back to one of my statements before which is many of these democrats are willing to put the life’s of innocent Americans at risk for the sake of gaining power…
