Question Anywhere I can go to get the basics of Photoshop?

I just got the software and I am having fun playing around with it, but I can't get anything to turn out. Is there a website I can go to like Photoshop 101? Or anyone on here, can you offer me any advice? It's my first time using photoshop. I have 7.0. I just want to start out blending a few pics. I am learning layers, but I cant even get that to turn out... Any advice on Photoshop for a rookie?
thanks, Shane

I'm having a hard time with cropping, and fading. How do I crop like the guy did in my sig? How do I overlap and use copacity like in my sig? I just have a few different pics of my truck, I want to try to overlap and layer and use the opacity tool. any tips?
thanks, Shane

uhmm, I'm not an expert but you can use the laso tool to select an irregular shape. As long as you are working in a PSD format you should be able to crop it.

There is stuff all over the web on photoshop. I've learned a few things from different sites. Sadly I only have PS4 so I don't get all the cool new tools.

In PS7.0 theres a filter called extract, its a much more advanced version of the lasso too, and much cleaner looking IMHO. About the fading, you'll want to use layersand it gets tricky. I'll give you a write up later.

Man I am horrable at photoshop. I was just messing around with it and I wish I was as good as half of you people on here. I have a lot of practice ahead of me. I still havent mastered cropping, but I got the lasso down a little bit. I want to be able to make my own sigs...
