Cleaning out old computer?

in reply to what 31charlie said, updating the BIOS is very very risky. If it freezes in the middle, which is not unlikely, then you have a dead motherboard on your hands, and you'd have to buy another one. So a word of advice. Be careful if you do that!! Or else have a computer shop do it.

Updating Bios is extremely risky. You lose power or something goes wrong and you just made a fancy door stop. I wouldn't update bios unless it was absolute last fix. I got one of those dual bios motherboards. Always a backup bios.

Hey just wanted to say thank's to everyone !! I have the old computer up and running..! and the correct driver for my vid card,and modem installed....Cool beans !!! You guys kick the perverbial azz........
