Be sure to update with pictures as you finish the truck.
I'll have to post a pic from the office on Monday but my current project is a '74 914 2.0. Second one I have had. Pretty cheap to work on and a lot of fun to drive, like a street legal go cart.
Thanks to all who posted your beautiful rides.
Jenn, seacrow, serotta, bloomquist: You definately have me very jealous. I am dying to get a project car so bad. Wife says I have to wait a few more years when we finally get a house.
Congratulations to all on your projects. I NV U !!!!!!!

Bloomquist - Sorry to get back to you so late on this thread. I thought the thread disappeared!
Anywho, long story about the engine. When we bought the car, we were told it had the original 351C. This past summer we were having problems with the engine so I decided to drop a rebuilt 351C in it. When I brought it to the shop, the pulled it and said it was a 351M, and that they couldn't match up the tranny, motor mounts, etc without spending alot of $$. So I had them drop in a rebuilt (0 miles) 400. Needless to say, I'm not too happy about it, but somewhere down the line, we'll have the $$ to drop in a 351C. I suppose we could've scraped up the cash to do it now... I guess I was just anxious to get it running for as little $$ as possible... which didn't end up being cheap.
It's in the garage for the winter now. Start it up every week, roll it around, dust it off. Maybe when we finally move someplace warm I'll put the $$ into really getting it back to original condition.
Sorry for the long post.

No problem Jenn
I've been kinda thinking about sometime in a couple years getting a late 60's mustang and restoring it... I really want to but I don't know how it'll work out. It's nice when people restore these cars though, it makes the world a better place
You sure do have a nice car though.
