This has got to be the weather year from hell. We've had winter for 5 months, rain for 1 1/2 months, spring for 2 week s, summer for like a month, fall is here and winter is just around the corner again

Oh well, at least I got my kite all ready for this storm. It's time for some serious stunt kite flying
Alright guys, I'm off to bed and get some shut eye prior to Miss Isabel coming in. Should I have some electrical current in the morning to run my DSL modem I will give ya'll a heads up on the storm. It has been a beautiful day and night here in advance of the storm but now it is starting to rain a little and I am sure when I wake up in the am it will be pouring rain and blowing pretty hard. It really looks like Isabel will go right over my families homes. Everyone just pray for no or minimal tornado damage. OK, last beer(just for tonight, have more for tomorrow if needed) finished. Good night.

Hey guys. Blowing a little right now with a lot of rain. The river is chopped up and looks like the ocean would during a normal storm. I think so far we have seen gust around 40-50 mph in this area with sustained winds of 30. My power has been out this morning but is now back on and I pray that is stays on for a while. I was pretty discouraged that it went out first thing but was so happy to have it back on. I will keep ya'll posted eastern carolina if I have some power. Ya'll keep praying for NO tornadoes and everyone to be safe.
Only a couple trees down around my place, but I don't have many trees around my home either. I have heard some scanner reports of trees down around town and some roads blocked. We are having some serious water coming up the river right now and high tide is around 1:15pm. We are within a hour of getting the worst of the storm at my home right now apparently. The bright orange and red bands on the west side of the eye are rolling onto us right now. Hopefully I will keep power and be able to monitor to weather sites and radar. If I can I will give you guys a report later.

I have been worried for all of you guys since the storm decided to pass me and head your way. My brother lives in Charleston SC, and has since before Hugo. I've been all up and down the coast and am all too familiar with the "low country". I was afraid the storm would hit with a strong surge at high tide.
We're doing fine here, the truck had a miss of a limb by a couple inches, so we moved them to an open parking lot.. Lots of Wind here, it wasn't much earlier but it's picking up now and raining a lot... I'll update more as we go a long.
Hope you all that are right there in the storm stay safe!
