Got 93 octane for $1.92 yesterday. Other stations around here are at $2/gallon.

I always knew there was a reason Ford also built the SVT Focus...

I just filled up. My low fuel light was on, and I paid $1.96 a gallon. It cost me $45 to fill up.

Edit: Oh yeah, and about half the time I fill up my tank I get the following: Attendant thinking this punk kid drives some Honda hatchback. Pulls up the pump and it's $35 or $40 (even more sometimes). They will give a confused look and check whats parked at the pump. Followed by a ".....My........ God......"
Just like it when the people who sell gas all day think "What the hell? This isn't right!"
sporkdevil,

I remember that too back in the day, it was .79 cents for reg, .89 cents for mid and .99 cents for premium.

I feel you on the punk kid thing haha, I get teh same thing... its probably just jealousy haha

I've been paing about $1.80 here in Wisconsin. The price hike plan is working as desinged, I usualy fill up every Sunday as I drive about 300 miles a week, but I dove over 300 miles this weekend alone visiting and driving from party to party. I got gas on Saturday and again on Sunday, and I may not make it to the weekend on this tank.

Just in case your not aware, here in CA .63 goes to the state in TAXES for every gallon when the price of gas is $2/gal

Don't forget there's state sales tax when figuring how much taxes the state takes out @ .0825/$1

Thanks Grey...........................Now get the fudge out!

Here in San Diego we pay 2.30 a gal for 91 octane and the gas is not lightning friendly. I was in St louis last week and 93 octane was selling for 1.80 per gal.

Ping if your lucky. Bogging will occur after the rod exits left out the block.

Its not the 91 octane part of the fuel thats bad. We can still make pretty good power with it. Its the 20% Ethanol used to oxygenate the crap out of the fuel that makes it harmful to these trucks with moderate timing and higher boost.

Some people thought our trucks would run cooler on the Ethanol mix. Currently, i see the gas getting burned much quicker, although the truck is running cleaner. My MPG dropped from 13.4 MPG to 11.2 with this new fuel.

I dont see what the big deal of them dropping us to 91 from 92 was if all they needed to do was drop the MTBE for Ethanol. I wish they would of kicked the Octane level back up since were burning much cleaner here. Also, the Lightning being a LEV, i figured would could get a tax break

Read this post from 2003, and everyone (including myself) is b1tching because premium was almost $2 a gallon.

I just thought it was funny, thought i'd bring it back from the dead...
