I don't know about the RX-8, but I have driven everything else in Mazda's lineup. I went to Mazda Rev It Up. It was a performance driving school put on by Mazda. It was really cool. I got to test drive all of their cars through the slolam, braking, accelerating, etc. Then, I got in a fully loaded Mazda6 and competed on a competition track. All in all, it was an excellent experience. If I were purchasing a sedan, I would be getting a manual V6 Mazda6. It was amazing compared to all the other (affordable) sedans on the market. The Mazdaspeed Protege wasn't bad either.
If these cars are any indication of the RX-8's performance and dynamics, I want one!
Though, I am still going to wait on purchasing a new coupe until the '05 Mustang's come out!!!

OK, this isn't about the RX8 sorry Clonetek.
This is about the Mazda6. Me and my parents about 3 weeks ago drove out to amazing Colorado Springs, Colo.. They didn't want to drive there 98 Park Ave, so they rented a Mazda 6 from Hertz {sp}. Picked it up in St. Louis and drove it the 850 odd miles out and 850 back. It handled awesome and steered great and had the Auto stick in it, SWEET option!
The only thing I did not like about it was the SEATS in it. Thouse things were hard as a Rock. Had it for about 4 and half days. My butt was sore for two days afterwards. I'm sure the car has some different seating options with it, but the cloth seats that were in that sedan were awefull. Thats just my take on Mazda 6 though.
Happy shopping Conetek, good luck!
