holy crap, i didint expect this thread to grow so much so fast! ok well i have plenty of time to make a desicion so im definitely gonna think about it and take my time, i dont want to rush and then regret my desicion later. rbjohn, you bring up some good points. to answer your questions, yes i do have emergency $$$ set aside, it wont impact the retirement plans of my parents, BUT i do have some student loans to pay back (around 15k by graduation ). the money is cash, theyre actually giving me $20,000 towards a new car, the other 10k is some money ive been saving up for a long time now towards buying a new car in the future. so yes, its 30k in cash. im really liking that IS300 too, i might have to go check those out! thanks for the replies, people

Come up with 3 more thousand and buy a 2003 Cobra. 4.6 L Supercharged 390 hp and most post low 12 second times. With a little tuning were talking high 11 sec car.

Nissan Maxima??? WTF You are not older then 35 and dont need a family car.

Mazda, you will be tempted to rice out

WRX, awesome car but definately an STI

Audi, family car, no torque

GTI, rated #3 on cars to own if you are a homosexual

G35, nice but only in 2 door 280 hp. The 4 door is not as nice and not very fast

RX8, no torque whats the point?

Mazda 6, family car

Saab, looks nice but has lots of problems and resell is very low

Mach 1, definetely a great deal. Under 30k and still fast. Resale will be high as well in the future

MROLDV8<------- Listen to this guy, he knows what he is talking about!

$30,000 cash?! First of all let me tell you, you suck, I'm jealous, but I still recommend a 'Cuda. Forget the modern cookie cutter tin cans... You pull up to a stop light in anything new, and you're very likely to pull up next someone else in the exact same car. You pull up to a stop light in a '71 Cuda you WILL get noticed, and I doubt very seriously if you'll ever pull up next one just like it...

Thumbs up

I'm old, we'll get it insured in my name and I'll drive you wherever you want to go.

I'll give you a piece of paper with my phone number on it. You want to go somewhere, you just call me and I'll be there to pick you up, no sweat.

(I like red)

If I ain't there in 30 minutes, take the bus.
