if you had $30k for a car, what would you get?

hey all, my parents want to get me a car as an early college graduation present. they basically said anything i want uder 30k, but my problem is that i really cant find any cars that i really like. i drove the mustang, but i didint like it too much. i drove the new nissan 350Z too and it was pretty nice, but im not 100% convinced. any suggestions for cars around 30k or less? im looking for something sporty (no trucks since im keeping my pickup), i dont really care if its domestic or import, but i want something new. what would you get?

Nissan Maxima SE. Pretty good little car with decent power.

Maxima GLE or SE would be a great choice, but the Honda S2000 would be worth a look.

I'd buy a stang... use the leftover money for mods.

Considering your age, I'd say the new Evo or the WRX STi. Hell. I would go for a WRX myself under the right circumstances.

Not sure if you're looking for sporty or something that is more functional however; I'm with the majority thusfar... the Maxima is an awesome car.

In addition to that, I really like the new two-door Accord.

Enjoy your search. Take your time and test drive everything. Don't just jump into something that you like immediately. Sounds like it's a blank check so, play the field. Find what **YOU** want.

man im really really undecided. i saw the maxima and s2000, very nice cars, but i still liked the the 350z a bit more (it handles great). im not a huge fan of the mitsubishi evo, but i havent checked out the WRX yet (the new STi looks pretty nice, not to mention 300hp of AWD fun ). im also toying with the idea of waiting one year (which will be hard to do since i hate waiting) and waiting for the 2005 mustang to come out. i dont know how many of you have seen the concept, but if the production version is significantly similar to the concept then IMO it is worth the wait!!!

what'cha think, worth the wait?

This car is a little to small for me but I like it. It's got close to 300 horses and goes for around 29K.
