I didn' think the Contour SVT was all that fast. When I was looking at them them they had a 195hp 2.5. It was only 20hp more than the regular V6. It is a nice car though.

Now maximas are a different story. You better watch out for them. My friend has an 02 6speed SE...and he ran 14.0 with only cold air intake

txf150girl, I'm actually a fan of the Contour. I had a '97 Sport with the 2.0 ZTEC/5-speed. It was no SVT but was pretty quick for a four banger, handeled very nicely and was a blast to drive. I would certianly take an SVT Contour, then supercharge it!
I know the Maximas are fast. I'd be hard pressed to top a 14.0. My buddies is an auto so I think I would have the atvantage.
It kind of sucks. I spend money to make my truck faster than some of the vehicles out there. Then the auto makers make more and more of the vehicles faster than me. I just don't have the money to keep up! I see a Lightning in my future, as it's easier to finance a vehicle than it is to buy superchargers and the like.
