Talking Friday night racing

Last friday night I had a blast. I got in quite a few little races. As I can remember I raced: a dodge ram rc sb, supra, 2 hondas, contour SVT, Acura NSX, bug . Well, the only one I lost to was the Contour SVT. My favorite was the dodge and the Acura.

The guy with the bug threatened to kick my a$$. He was probably just jealous.

I feel I would of beat the Contour if I would of just had some lower gears, these 3.31s are way too high for me.

'02 f150 supercab 5.4. Only mod is a magnaflow muffler. ATI is currently being installed right now. I want a rematch with that Contour after it is done.

Ok, maybe you're right. When I heard his engine speed up, I just floored it. He gave me a thumbs up when he caught up to me later.

have you ever been to the track?
was it a 1980 something supra...or was it naturally aspirated?

I'd definitey want to rematch the nsx (depending on what year it is, do you know?)....i've never been impressed with those when i actually see them run....they're way overrated.

its a 4 banger, its gonna rev forever. Doesn't meen he was at WOT. Even sick NSX's run mid 14's. Thier is no way your stock truck runs even a 15.5. You sure it wasn't a non-turbo MR2?

and when you see a NSX run at the Road track, you would be amazed. Totally awesome.

Nope, never been to the track. I might go sometime this summer though. Probably after I get my gears, chip, and shift kit.

I believe the supra was naturally aspirated. Not sure on the year for either the supra or the NSX. I watched the supra loose to the contour also.

Yea, Im sure it was a NSX. At least that is what the guy told me.

I know now that they run a 13.4 in the 1/4. I know he wasn't racing me. I just wasn't sure of it at the time. I had no clue what they were.

yeah... my diablo chip is on the way. i'm gonna try out the track soon too.
i believe that the contour was that fast though...i've seen some pretty quick ones. been much more impressed with contours than nsx's haha.

and PhillipSVT...maybe i misunderstood you..but did you call the nsx a 4 banger? cause it's a v6. and no matter what you say, I know what i've seen, and nothing will impress with about the nsx. It's a v6 that costs more than a viper, and has basically half the horsepower

When I raced the Contour, we stayed dead even until about 45 mph. When he shifted in to 3rd he started to pull away, and I just gave up. I usually try not to get going too much over the speed limit.

Im just waiting to see what other mods im adding to my truck before I order my Diablo. I dont feel like having it reburned. After the ATI is finished I'll have a better chance against those NSXs.

A buddy of mine had a '92 NSX. It was faster than my Magnacharged 4.6. That 3.0 was quick. He sold it for 30k with almost 60k on it. I would agree that they are over priced, but they are not slow. He took the money and bought an '01 Maxima (which I'm sure I can take) and a '96 F150 (which I'm also sure I can take, but he can plow much better ).

I didn' think the Contour SVT was all that fast. When I was looking at them them they had a 195hp 2.5. It was only 20hp more than the regular V6. It is a nice car though.

Sounds like fun offroadmaniac. It'll be a totally different story with the ATI. You'll be telling us how far ahead of them you were!
