What really urks me is this never should've happened. NASA has low level managers doing upper level managment's jobs. Many safety issues have been ignored that have been mentioned by the engineers. I'm sure it will be swept under the rug though, as usual.

It's always great to see the nation come together as a whole but, in my honest opinion, it shouldn't take a tragedy on this scale to do it...

What we have is golden. Don't take it for granted.

My deepest and most sincere feelings of remorse go out to the friends & family of our fallen heros.

Keep praying... our nation needs it right now more than ever.

God Bless America...

After having a day to reflect...........

I think this "bothers" me more than the Challenger accident. And I saw the Challenger explosion first hand.

But I, like many other Americans have taken the Space program for granted. I forgot how dangerous it really was. How these men and women risk their lives for the betterment of our human lives.

That Will NEVER Happen Again

RIP

Unhappy

It is true the men and women of the space program are in a class all their own. They do what they do with such ease that we don't realize just how difficult their mission is. God Bless them and their famalies.

in Armegedden(sp?) Steve Buscemi's character said something about sitting on thousands of pounds of fuel in a billion dollar vehicle built by the lowest bidder and maintained by the government.

on a lighter note, the powers that be dont have to think of names for seven more schools

I couldnt have said it better. Like you I too was watching the Challenger blast off and when it exploded I just couldn't believe it, even though it was on TV in front of me.

God bless them, their family, relatives, and friends.
