prime81 - From your posts, it looks like you received your VIN in less than a week from when your dealer placed the order. Is that correct? So from order to delivery for you may only be 5 weeks. That's very quick!
I ordered nearly the exact same truck as you on 9/9/2012, but I don't have the VIN yet from my dealer. Did your dealer provide you your VIN? Or were you able to find it some other way?

Build your truck, and then there is a chat option that will pop up after sitting idle on the summary page. Give the chat person your order# and dealer code and they will give you your VIN # if it is available. My dealer inventory person was not able to pull a VIN# for some reason, but it was available from ford... probably a website glitch or not up to date information at the dealership.
Did you get an order confirmation sheet from your dealer? If so it could be a priority issue, from what I understand my order had a higher priority on it. I do not know how dealer order priorities work, but I could make the assumption that a high priority order would move through the order process quicker which would in turn reflect on the speed in which you get your VIN and window sticker. Again this only an assumption and I have no evidence of any of this other than reading other posts and gathering information from the dealership.

If they ordered your truck, they will have the confirmation which should give you the information you need.

It's your truck so it's both fun and exciting to track the progress. Some dealerships just don't have much accountability or time management with these things. My dealership is one of the top dealers in the nation for trucks(or so they claim), likely due to the oil boom around here.

Congrats on your sticker! Do you mind sharing?
