'03s on the lot

On the way home happened to see a new '03 on the lot. Knew it was an '03 because it was a Crew Cab with the BFT/XLT Sport package - solid black from bumper to bumper. Talk about SHARP!
It was a Crew Cab XLT, FX4 package, PSD, etc. - stickering in the $42K neighborhood, with some DIOs. I took some pictures that I will be uploading to my gallery.

Interesting that it has Firestones on it. I thought Ford quit buying stones...

If they did, they must have had a pretty good stockpile of them - because 90% of the trucks I looked at in my shopping still had the Steeltex ATs on them.

A guy I work with has a Dodge Dakota and has the Firestones on it his tires were not part of the recall about 2 weeks ago he had the famous Firestone tread seperation take place on one of his tires he said he's not driving his truck until he has the money to replace the Firestones it just shows they will do it on something other than a FORD in his case a Dodge Dakota.

Hi JDM

Do you know if that '03 has the new 6L diesel engine? Is it a 03 mid-yr with maybe the old PSD?

Yeah, thought Ford was no longer using any Firestone tires, interesting. Maybe they shook hands and made up?

Tks...OT

OT -

It was the 7.3L PSD. Last I read, they were still working out some issues with the 6L engine.

I read recently and a dealer confirmed hearing the same that the new 6.0 would be mid year. I read or heard somewhere (maybe here) that there were some cooling issues they were working through.

The G2 won't be out until first of the year...So the early 03's have the 7.3's in it for now and then will change..03.25 will be the G2..
