Ford and Cummins

Ford used to own a chunk of Cummins (~30%). But they divested themselves of that stock a while ago. If they own any Cummins stock now, it is a very small amount. Ford is very much in Navistar's camp now.

I guess I am out of date on the ownership of Cummins... thanks for the update.

As far as Cummins in the Ram, sure they are updating, but from what I have read on the 'net and in magazines, as soon as the contract with Cummins expires, Rams and Dodge work vans will be getting MB diesels (which makes a ton of sense)

Mercedes is working on a replacement for the Cummins and also a competitor for the V6 "Baby" PSD for the half tons. Should be interesting to see what they come up with. The 03 Cummins is going to be an impressive engine.

Cummins is guranteed to be in the RAMS until 07 and then the word is that dodge will offer both a MB and the cummins
