While I Wait for My 2013 Superduty Platinum...
Not really looking at a Platinum, but that 6.7 is sweet, and so much quicker than the 6.4. Now, if it only had a handshaker, huh?

Yes. I had a 2012 F150 on order, but the dealer couldn't change to the Heavy Duty Payload. Personally, I think he must have been hesitant because he didn't like the wheels and didn't want it
on his lot if I didn't take it. After that, this rig came in on a trade. With 26k on it, I stole it. The only seat ever sat in was the drivers seat. Passenger and back never touched. Since I wanted payload, I got some, but saved close to $15,000 doing so. The new job cut me to about 10,000 miles a year, instead of the 60-65k I was used to. I can buy alot of fuel for the savings, and should be able to take my time doing so. Well see... You know me.

Thanks. All is well. Solid firm with great prople, and I have people who respect my decisions.
Econ still is hitting us hard, but it's picking up. It's nice to be 17 miles from home with minimal travel per month.

I was just kidding around. I told the DW the other day I could put this rig in the garage when I pay it off and get a fuel-miser for daily driving. Then I said "Wait... I'll never get this thing paid off!"
It seem when you start that booklet all over, it takes forever to whittle it down. There us no way I will entertain a $68,000 Platinum Superduty with two kids needing college someday, and a mortgage to finish. Maybe by retirement. Of course, hydrogen will be powering our trucks by then, right? 2025 or something the Feds say?

I am looking, but reviewing insurance, upkeep, repairs, etc. close in check. In my experience, you need a second vehicle that requires NO repairs, just fuel, and breaking even is still a gamble.
