medic, radar,
Thanks!

wes1333,
Eventually I will be doing the H&S package which is the mini max tuner, delete, and exhaust. Don't really wanna touch the motor for about 6 months or so as now Ford can apparently trace any retune done to the truck and it voids the warranty. For the time being it is finishing the suspension, and underbody details, then moving onto the PTM/Blackout portion of the build.

fx4 for life 79,
This one won't be as out there as the last one. Gotta stay somewhat mild with this one.

*Update: Wheels and tires have come in, picked them up this morning and put a nice smile on my face. Quickly turned to a frown as I got a call from my guy and he notified me that Icon has to build my shocks therefore the kit won't be shipped out until Friday of this week and or possibly next Monday. This could be a blessing in disguise however as I have ordered the 4-Link upgrade from Icon to go along with the 4.5" stage 3 kit over the OUO Adjustable Arm Links. Figured I would keep all the suspension mods in the Icon family

Tires/Wheels.....

Good choice in getting the 250 over the Raptor. Truck will look great with the mods.

I was in the same situation as you. I loved my F-150 and hated to sell b/c of all the time and money spent into the truck. Not to mention it would be paid for by now. But once you drive a diesel you're introduced to a whole new world. The power that these trucks have are unbelievable.

I have the ICON Stage I radius arm lift and love everything about it. It's worth spending the extra money to have a great product. Also, if you ever decide to run 37's all you have to do is buy the 1" TEI spacer and you'll clear them. My company truck is an 08 Dodge 2500. My F-250 lifted on 37" tires rides a hell of a lot better than that Dodge does with factory suspension.

Highon22's,
I have spent a lot of time looking at your F250 here on the forum and I must say I love it. I chose to stay away from the 7+ lift and 37's simply because I didn't want to void the warranty on a brand new 2012 nor deal with gears and driveshaft angles like I got into on the F150. My dealership, as long as they install my lift are willing to still warranty the truck as long as it is no larger than a 4.5" lift.

I didn't skim on the lift as I want the ride quality to be there and all I hear is how great the Icon kits are when it comes to this so drained the damn wallet on it. Stage 3, Dual Stab Kit + 4-Link upgrade better damn well ride good !

Have you thought about the Icon 4-link ? How is your ride currently ? Any possibilty I could get a side shot of your truck with the radius arms showing ? I hate how bad they look on some trucks I see which is the primary reason I want the 4-Link as I really doubt the caster will be all to bad on only 4.5" which the 4-Link is responsible for fixing.

Thanks. Thge lift for a solid axle truck has a lot less components than the IFS trucks. Worrying about warranty issues should not be much of an issue since they put 6" with 35's on the trucks from the factory. Going with 37's is nothing for these trucks unless you will be pulling a heavy load on a regular basis. I have the 3:55's in my truck and it does just fine. I also don't tow much. The drive shaft is a two piece unlike the single on the F-150 therefore the angle isn't a real big issue.

I originally had intentions on going with a 4.5" 4-link with 35's , but when I came across the 7" I couldn't pass up the deal. I don't really care for the way the radius arm lifts are either, but for a lift, steering stabilizer and wheels/tires with only 1500 miles for around $2500 less than new I decided to deal with the radius drop until I have time to install the 4 link. I sold the x14" wheels to get the 22x11's.

I actually find the ICON front coils are little softer. The rear is the same as factory since I used blocks to lift it. The only other lifted F-250 I've rode in had a Rize lift on it and it also rode good so I can't compare ICON to a cheaper lift. I can still take curves at a decent speed. The truck doesn't have the roll feel. With the AAL's I had on my F-150 I would say the two trucks ride about the same.

Always nice when the one thing holding the entire build up decides to finally show up! Shocks came today along with the 4.5" Icon kit, Icon 4 Link kit, and Icon duel stabilizer kit and it is about god damn time ! Along with the Icon tuff the Mag f/r diff covers showed up as well.

Shop owner (personal friend) had his guys stay a bit late tonight and everything has already been put on the truck except for the dual stabilizer kit. The Mag diff cover is apparently to big to work in conjunction with the Icon duel stabilizer kit, but tomorrow he is going to see if some machine work can be done to the diff cover to make room for the kit to work with it. If not, I might leave the diff cover on, and order the carli single stabilizer kit, or ditch the cover and run the Icon kit, not sure yet.

Anyway, he wouldn't send me a pic of the truck as the tires and wheels are not on it yet, going tomorrow to be put on and aligned but he did tease me with the below pic:

Needless to say, I am excited and I hope some pics of it done will be up within the next day or so
