nice list of stuff. going to add some of it to mine.

All my stuff is currently in the cab under the rear bench. I'm looking for a toolbox that won't break the bank. Everything I've found is in the $400-500 range because of shipping

I have entirely waaaay too much crap in my toolbox. More than I even know about, so this isn't a full list, mind you...

20' chain
Two 15' tow straps
Various rachet straps, up to 10k lbs.
Jack
4 way tire iron (very important if you tow trailers)
Various tools
Two 6x6x2' wood blocks
4 gallons of 2 stroke oil (1oz per gallon in the truck, 50:1 in the boat)
Various fluids (brake fluid, tranny, etc)
Spare belt
Breaker bar for belt tensioner
Mag lite
Cheap (free) Harbor Freight LED flashlights
Etc.

Gloves are kept in the truck.

I wouldn't consider all of that essential though.

Only PSD specific stuff I carry is a spare CPS in the glove box.

I am going to add one of these pretty soon because this winter I am going to start working on my stereo project since my dad's new house is going to be done soon and I can get my truck in his shop. I need the room behind the rear seats for the sub's, amp's, and all the stuff that goes with it.

got lucky and found a very nice TSC Toolbox for $100 on Craigslist. going to incorporate bits n' pieces from the list and load that puppy out.

now to find the "J" mount hooks for that toolbox. don't want to drill holes and get any rust started

1.5 ton compact aluminum jack from harbor freight paid $69.99 and came with a 2 year warranty. lifts the truck with ease (and fast)

I finally said the hell with carrying all that stuff. Now I carry a piece of plastic from AAA. Compact enough to fit anywhere.
