Traded in the truck today...

Well, I spent the day removing my bumper, winch, lights, toolbox, train horn, and stereo from my truck. I just needed to get away from it. I found that the more time and energy I spent on the truck, the more grief it gave me. The issue with the batteries draining constantly and the dealer doing nothing was the last straw. I decided that I just want a vehicle that I can drive and not have to worry about something breaking. I originally looked at some Mustangs and G35's and 350z's and Lexuses. I finally settled on a white 2008 BMW 335xi with tan leather interior. All I can say is wow. It may not have the raw power of the Mustang GT, but what the 3,0L twin turbo inline six lacks in power, it more than makes up for in handling (partly due to the awesome BMW AWD).

So, in short, I traded my 4wd twin turbo truck in for a AWD twin turbo car and cut my payment in half. For the first time in seven years, I have a car payment under $400 a month.

Sucks to see you get rid of the truck man! She was a beauty! But I'm sure the diesel prices weren't going to be playing nice for much longer either.

Pics or ban!

So you traded a problem for a problem. No offense but you pay for the name. Every bmw i have known of (friends, family, girlfriend) have had nothing but problems. Every dealer trip is ATLEAST 1K. And these have low miles mind you. I hope you got a good one because i have a feeling you might regret that one. Oh and it's pretty bad when the BMW service techs tell you they will see you next week. Lol

Damn, this is surprising. I've always seen you posting defending the reliability of the 6.4, but sounds like your issues weren't directly related to the engine. Good luck with the Beamer. You definitely had one of the best looking Super Duties on this site.

seriously I guess the bmw will do everything you needed the 3/4 ton diesel for? My mom has a bmw and it really is the ultimate driving machine. Ours has had some stupid problems though. hope its just a lemon. Good luck with yours!

Seriously, If I was gonna trade in your truck, I would have opted for a new 6.2 SuperDuty.....I am shocked! Your truck was awesome! No BMW could ever do what your truck could! Wow!
