Mine doesn't smoke at all. My first 6.4L F250 smoked BAD whenever it went into regen. I traded it in, and a week later, the new owner had to have the engine replaced. They said it was a stuck injector, hydrolocked the engine. He posted pictures of the truck with the cab removed, and I knew it was mine. Pretty crazy!

Tanks,
Roberto.
2007.5 or 2008 I believe. The 6.7 Power Stroke is about to be released also.

Tanks,
Roberto.
They started using the 6.4 in the 08 model year. What year is the truck that you are looking at?

Go get an OASIS report run on it at the Ford dealer and have a CARFAX done as well. On the OASIS look for head gaskets, EGR and the EGR cooler as well as the oil cooler. If it has been heavily modified walk away from it. 2003 was the first year that the 6.0 was in production and there were a lot of problems with them in 03-04 the 05-07 are better with fewer problems.

Roberto, you are welcome. You can't go wrong with that combination the 7.3 is a bullet proof engine and the manual six speed is pretty rugged.
