Why is it SO slow>???

Hey all,
My father has an 04' F-350 CrewCab Harley truck. We installed a Air filter kit, MBRP full turbo back system and a Superchips programmer. Is there a reason why this truck has no grunt>??? I have an 04' Avalanche 2500(8.1L) K&N setup, catback and programmer and it can barely pull away from my truck. My truck has gone best of a 16.0X in the 1/4. Do these trucks need custom tuning>??? Is the Superchips programmer junk>???
I was thinking on dropping the Avalanche for maybe an 05" F-350 DRW and don't know if it is a good choice because I would want it to respond well to MODs. Any ideas>??? Thanks, -Mat-

Something else is going on with the truck. Superchips tuner isn't the hottest thing out there, but it certainly works, and not like that.

Sounds like you need to investigate the SCT tuner..Makes alot of power and offers 3 different power levels plus you get your tranny tuned to compensate for the extra power...Got mine from Innovativediesel.com and love the power the truck puts out.

I have to agree, that truck should put a whoppin on you. Try and install the stock tune again, then put the performance one back in. The difference should be night and day.

Edited 'cause I just realizied you have the 6.0. Typically, 6.0's that are running a Superchips programmer with Innovative Diesel custom programs, a good intake, and good exhaust are running low 14's to high 13's. So yeah, there's probably something wrong. I'd call Innovative for some suggestions and get some of their programs on there while you're at it.

"Superchips programmer" is not an SCT tuner that Innovative writes custom tunes for.

Just want to make sure Superchips and SCT are not confused as the same thing, they are far from the same thing.

Well is the SCT a Superchips product? Guess I need to brush up on my 6.0 stuff.

Brushing up on 6.0 stuff won't help. SCT is not a Superchip product and of course, neither is 6.0 or even diesel specific. SCT was formed by a venture that included Superchips, but they are seperate companies and share nothing product or other, related.

Superchips was actualy just recently bought out also.

some people are getting very poor performance out of their 6.0's
If it won't behave, Ford does buy them back.......
