Question Best Color...esp. for resale

Ok...we've narrowed things down to a 4x4, 250, 5.4 V-8, 4.10 axle. Now we're stumped on color, unless we order, a delay of 5-6 weeks.

Husband & I like the Island Blue...which are few & far between. I like it, but worry about resale. We don't like black, white, or red.

What are the most popular colors after black, white, or red? What color did you choose & why?

You're getting the 5.4L and think the color will determine resale value? Seriously though, get any color you want. As long as you keep it in good shape the color won't cost you that much in value.

I'd have to agree with V10man. I don't understand why people make decisions based on future resale value. No matter what it is, buy it because you like it. Go with whatever color you like best. I knew I wanted black or silver. When I got to the dealer they had a red, blue and silver ones with the exact same packages. I knew I didn't want red, the blue had some minor damage so I ended up with the color I wanted.

Good luck,

I agree. If you are thinking about resale, you might reconsider getting the V8. Otherwise get whatever color you like best!

Mine is E4 Bright Red Clearcoat and it is one of the few colors that come on the "Sport" F-150..thats why I got it. If I were to do it again, I would get the white "Sport". If I got a non-sport truck, I would most likely get a shade of blue.
My wife has a black Expy and all I can say is that thing is ALWAYS dirty. Looks soooo sweeeeeet when its clean, but shows every little scratch and always could use a washing. My opinion is that resale value wont be affected by the color unless the color you choose happens to show off all the small scrathes (like my wifes black Expy)

Hey Laura - we just got our F250 CREW XLT 156 V10 in Island Blue/Silver - and it looks great. We have been complimented a number of times - and many people are doing double takes on the road! There isn't alot of them out there - and here in rainy Seattle it really stands out! Not my first choice in color - but got it for a great price - and the color really is outstanding!!

Cool

You want to know the best color besides the basics. Well believe it or not I work at Ford's Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville Ky. Which makes the super duties. And I even work in the paint department. If you are so hell bent on a color, then any style of blue is your best bet. (that's if you don't like the basics) I see all kinds of colors. Like someone said, it shouldn't matter, as long as you take care of it, but if you want an opinion, then yes blue is it.

Thanks everyone for your input. We went with the Island blue (very hard to find) that had everything we wanted except the trailer tow mirrors. Dealer put 'em on for $82.00!!! We'd heard they were over $400 installed.
