Just got home with my new to me 2001 F-250 Crew Cab Longbed 4x4 with the V-10. Quite the step up from my V-6 150 XL five speed. What a monsta this thing is.

I have had my 99 F250 SD, SC, 4x4 V10 for about a week now and your not kidding, this thing is a MONSTER!
Anyone have any info on the PowerAID TB Spacers on these trucks? I want to help the gas mileage and I was told this is one way to do it.

I am going to take it back to get my tires off of my lil F-150 and swap for the tires that are on it. They were pretty much new BFG 265/75/16's. The stocks on this are 235's. The swap was part of the deal. I would like to lift it a little nothing huge.
It is a big change from the 6 to this. I won't be getting into it to much as I don't want to pay the gas for those times.
As far as TB spacers go everything I have heard points to them being good paper weights and that is about it.

Well, I've hit 15.5 HWY with my '00 V-10/auto 4x4, while driving at sane speeds. This is actual mileage, not an overhead computer "estimate." I won't even start on the BS claims for diesel mileage.

Is there room for one more here?
I just brought home a 2003 F250 7.3L Crew cab Lariat on the 17th. And I love it.I had it for about 1 hour and had it 4 wheeling in 8 inches of snow.
Does anybody know of a 4" lift for the 03's?

Skyjacker or the edge if you have the money...make good lift kits..stay away from the pro-comp..
WWBF150--Man, I didn't mean to get you fired up...Sane--was the magic word...
I need to update my signature...Since I got my new extreme chip, I cant drive sane anymore...
I need to change it to 20mpg, with propane...18 w/o...
But I dont think that is too bad for over 400hp and 800ftlbs torque!!!!!

Mach 1, I'm not fired up about the mileage. There are too many BSers as far as mileage goes. I've heard guys with comparable trucks to mine getting 20 MPG. Horsehockey!! The same for some diesel people too. I guess that some people like to fool themselves. They sure aren't fooling anyone else.
BTW, drove a new 1/2 T 4x4 DOdGe Hemi. Couldn't really step on it, due to ice/snowy roads. It doesn't require premium fuel either. I originally thought that it did. The truck was $37,400 sticker!! Nice truck inside, but fugly.

Hey man, I have heard people say they get 25mpg on a diesel, I dont think so...I had heard before that this is one thing a guy will not tell the truth about, I believe that...12-15 is what I heard V10, if you drive it sanely...The hemi didn't need Premium??What about midgrade???That is not an ideally shaped CC for emissions or fuel economy, for power -yes...
Fact is about gas mileage is its going to vary GREATLY by the day. Some days the conditions or perfect and every single thing is working in harmony, conditions outside, quality of fuel, driving conditions of the high way and your own foot. Other days you can do everything the same except its hotter or colder, your fuel sucks and you drop 5 MPG. Just because someone quates a high MPG on a tank they arent full of crap. I get sick of hearing "You diesel guys BS your mileage" "You gasser guys BS your power" Its all subjective. We all bought our trucks to suit a specific set of needs wether its a 5.4 or a PSD.
Swofford---you bring some good points up..Thats why in my sig, I have best and avg...mileage...And you are right about the day to day variation, And wwbf150 brought up a good point about driving sanely...
I usually drive mine sanely...65 mph max and mostly highway..however since the install of the custom chip, I cant keep my foot out of it...I am getting a little better, however it will be a while until I can get max mileage out of it again..
I can say this, there are some guys that have O/D units on their diesels, and another guy that did 3.08's and they are both pulling down right at 25mpg on the HIGHWAY...
Hey, I like to hear about high mileage figures, so I can see what mods they have and try to duplicate them...As soon as they say I get outrageous mileage, I ask them what mods and they say stock..I say right and leave...I am not debateing fuel economy here, just trying to find mods for getting better...
