I've read that the new 6.0 is rated at 18city/24hwy.

Do you tow most of the time? Then the $5,000 upgrade and cost of a new truck might be worth it.

Post Diesel mileage

I have a 6.0L PSD diesel with the 5x auto. Currently the trip computer says that I'm getting 15 in the city and about 18 on the freeway. I'm told to expect it to raise as the motor gets broken in. The truck has close to 2k on it, That puts it right in with my 2001 E-150. I did pull a camper with the E-150 last summer and the mileage was halved.

Fantastic fuel mileage, read signature, P.S. I tow a 10K trailer up in the hill country and it doesn't downshift out of 4th, or slip the convertor...

After 25k, I was getting 18MPG unloaded. With a 6500# trailer, I was getting about 12MPG. That was with the 7.3. Dunno what I'm gonna get with this derned GMC.
