Removing new plugs

Hey, everyone I'm pretty new hear and I've been looking around for info and found a lot. But my question is there any concern about head temp. or engine temp. before I take out two new 7989's that are miss firing.
Thanks in advance for any info.

What is a 7989? What brand? I would let the engine cool. How many miles on them?

Champions they only have less then 200 on them but going down the interstate today pick up miss fire so I stopped by AZ had them check codes and found 5 and 8 had missed fired. I just don't want to mess up the treads and these are one piece plugs I hope I don't have to worry about breaking one.
Thanks for a very quick reply.

They should not break at all. Keep us posted if it was the plugs. Good luck.

Only 200 miles. That makes me wonder if maybe they were cracked during installation.

They should come out like nobody's bidness, sir. No breakage concerns.

Are you contemplating removing them all for another brand?

Would you be able to post pics of the misfiring units? Jbrew will want to see those, lol.

Good luck, sir.

Well...
I did put them In, not that I'm a real wrench type guy but I've been know to hold my on at times. I only broke one out of eight and ordered to Lisle tool and I was able to remove the lower end of plug I bet you know how happy that made me.

I'm going to give the Champion's one more chance because after pulling out fords poor design plug I really don't even want to replace these two but better then eight right now if they do this again I will be looking for a new brand.
Hey thanks again everyone for your thoughts.

The new Motorcraft is supposed to have a smaller shank. That with the nickel antisieze on the shank should allow them to come out from now on.

On the Champions, I have heard of guys cracking the insulator during installation. They seemed extra brittle and of course, some of them are in tight quarters.

Thanks Bluejay, I've not read that yet but very interesting, now I can't wait to see these plugs I must pull. Thats may be why I really don't understand why the torque is so high I think I saw 25 to 28 on plugs is that right?

The 28 is for the 1997-2002s that spit out plugs. I think the 2004 up is only about 15.
