Navigation w/Rear DVD

I'm about to purchase an in dash DVD Navigation head unit, AVN-6610 from Eclipse and I was wondering if my rear DVD system will still work when I install the after market head unit?

Is the entertainment system the Ford oem unit ? If so,it will not work if the new HU harness does not pass the complete interface connections.

Thanks I really appreciate it, one last question. Were you able to get the steering wheel controls to work with the new head unit?
