dual exhaust

Does anyone sell a dual exhaust for an 05 expy? Also what are some good mods for some increased power and snap? And what gains do they get?(like the chip and stuff like that)

I think a bunch people sell that. Great tuner for increase in power and everything is the XCal2. Mike Troyer sells them from our board. Amazing guy. Special tunes it for your truck or expedition. Look down at forum under Chips on this site and a lot of info. Or Call him, his number is under the site information.... Lastly I think he sells exhaust for your truck but not positive.

I've only found a single exhaust, no duals. I really want duals for it otherwise I feel it's a waste of money.

I think you will have a hard time finding duels for an Expedition. I purchased a Magnaflow muffler and had a local shop install the duel set up. I have since gone to a Bassani stainless single that has just the right sound and definately increased power (especially low end) over the duel. It's really a sweet exhaust.

Did it sound good with the dual???? I'm looking more for sound than anything else. I never thought of having a shop fab it up....Good idea. Is it loud at all with the single????

Thanks
Jeff

It did sound good/loud with the duel's. The Bassani system is not quite as loud but it definately comes to life when you put your foot down. There is a noticable increase in low end power with the Bassani, but if you are looking only for sound the duel's is probably what you want. I had a Magnaflow single in duel out muffler with my duel's but from what I hear the Flowmaster will give you more sound. Have fun!!

If you are looking for some more power and noise but limited to space, try what I did. Have your shop fab dual pipes into a dual in/single out muffler. I used a Flowmaster with dual 2 1/2" pipes in and one 3" pipe out. Gives some more snap and the Flowmaster sound.

Jeff, I have true duals on my navigator, exiting out the rear right behind the wheels. (in 3 inch too) If you look on troyers web site, he has a dual kit for some of the expy/navy's on his exhaust list. Check it out.

Thanks guys!!! Man the expy is going back to the shop again....... I'll bring you up to speed: had a high rev miss; replaced 3 spark plugs, 2 coil on plugs, THE HEAD, and fixed it with cats being replaced. During this problem the alternator went out and they replaced that. Drivers side window was also out of line and made an ungodly noise when going up and down so they fixed that. When they had it on the lift they noticed the rear seal leaking on one side in the back and fixed that.
Now that it's all back together it ticks(can't tell if it's lifter or exhaust) and I'm pissed.
But wait there's more... Now sometimes when I go to start it, it just clicks then the second time it turns over and starts. Man for an 05 expy, 5.4, auto and only 30,000 miles this thing seems like a lemon. But I bought it used with 25,000 miles so getting the lemon law is alot harder. I think I'm going to push for it now.
Sorry for the ranting just pissed because I love the ride and feel of this thing. When it's not at the shop that is .

Update: put in new starter and fixed exhaust leaks.... I hope she's ready to go now.
1 quick question: I'm looking into getting a dvd system put in. Dealer will put one in for 1300. 10.2 inch screen and of course mounts up top like the stock one does and connects to the stereo and all that good stuff. So is this a good price???

Thanks
Jeff

Sounds kinda high if you ask me. Also, be wary of those big screens, as they can obstruct your review mirror when in use
