Check the driveshaft bolts and the bolts to the rear torque arm (the big black arm running from the frame to the axle housing on the right side of the pumpkin).

Is it still under warranty? Usually, when they do a job, it has at least a 90 day warranty. If it wasn't properly shimmed it could cause an issue, or it could be unrelated. How many miles?

If you are out of warranty, I say this verifies the need to others for the xtended warranty!

If it was done back in January at the dealer, it should be covered under 12/12 parts and labor warranty, whether or not you're out of factory warranty. Take it back.

Ever figure this out? My 2003 is doing this too. Usually won't after the car has been driven. But if it sits a little while, it does clunk/clink in reverse. Can also make it do when backing up a steep driveway.

I don't think its drive line, seems more like suspension.

Sounds like they didn't set up the new rear end properly. I had my rear end replaced on my 04 LS model at 60k and it has been fine since. I would force the issue w/ the dealer...

Angry me three - w/a '03

I have had my '03 in about 6 times and each time they
tighten the bolt on the axle to the hub area. Then the factory
came back with a "special formulation" locktite to use and that worked for several months but again crapped out.

I gave up on this about 2 years ago and doesn't seem to be getting worse and living with it. They even replaced the hub
and axle on one side and it came back after a few months.
