Once you go Expedition, any way back?

After owning an Expedition, I do not think I could go back to a car again. Being up high, comfort, good looks, and utility room can not be beat. Could you go back?

Yes, because that's where my garage is. Plus, my wife would have my picture put on a milk carton.

I traded in my 96 Chrysler Concorde for an 03 Ex w/ 4.6l engine. Didn't know what I was looking at at the time except the truck was in exceptional condition with only 28K miles and 3 months left on factory warranty.

My Ex is not as fast off the line as the Concorde, but it isn't bad with AF1 intake and TP Xcal tunes. However, you cannot beat the comfort - way better than the leather bucket seats in the Concorde which were too low for my tastes, and they didn't support my back well either. You can't beat the height. The rack and pinon steering is excellent too.

I have 6 kids, and all 8 of us can fit in there with reasonable comfort. We also have a 15 psgr E350 super wagon w/ a V10 - now that is a machine! But the Ex is realy nice and very versatile.

I wouldn't go back to a car unless I could have a good go-fast car AND keep the Ex.

I've always had a truck (or once a Jeep with 4" lift and 33's) -- and I know for a fact I could never own a car.

I never owned a passenger car. Doubt I ever will.

I started out out with a Jeep, then a Ranger and now I'm on my 7th F-150 in a row. The wife came with a passenger car (Hyundai Elantra), but that quickly got R2'd with a Grand Cherokee, later a few F-150's, then a Jeep Liberty, then a Sport Trac and now an Expedition. I think the Expedition will be her preferred model of vehicle from now on just like the F-150 is mine.

I love my 04' Expy EB, the largeness, carrying capacity, height, etc. But there are times when I want something nimble and fast, which my 4-wheel house isn't. Add to the fact it's so slow it can't get out of its own way, even with the 5.4L.

Luckily I have my 99' Bimmer when I'm craven some speed, handling and agility.

My EB...

My Bimmer....

My truck is my first vehicle and I hope to always have one. I literally cannot stand cars. They feel cheap and small (I'm 6'1").

By the way, you know what the difference between a BMW and a porcupine is, don't ya?

On a porcupine, the ****** are on the outside.

Sorry, just kidding. That's my mom's joke. She is a Mercedes driver ('07 ML350). I personally love bimmers.

Trust me, I've heard them all. On my BMW forum, we saw an unofficial list of cars that jerks/a**holes drive, and the BMW driver was 6th place. To tell you the truth, most of us were pissed that we weren't number 1 on that list!

I used to tell those same jokes.
I've figured that it comes from how the car handles in traffic.

"That damn BMW was behind me and now he's six car-lengths up! What a PORCUPINE!"

I'm with you there. Our '04 EB is good for transportation, family-ness, and hauling a trailer.

But I get my speed, handling and agility fix in my '06 MINI Cooper S JCW.
