Well since I'm going to be running fenderwell headers the need for bends in pipe is almost zero. So I can pretty much run straight pipe right after the collector, reducing cost of bend pipes, and I can put it together myself.

Curious though, any difference between the oval and round cases in terms of sound?

That cuts costs down. I did mine all myself too, but the headers were the only tough part. Can't imagine paying some else to run and TIG weld 304 SS

I'm not sure. I'd probably get a round though. Mine is the typical/standard shape, and I like how it sounds. DarrenWS6 on here knows a lot about Borlas, so maybe PM him or something.

Wish we could tag people on this forum so he'd see that I mentioned him . . .

Okay I'll shoot him a PM.

I'll have a round and oval muffler brought down tomorrow to take a look at each.

Another picture with my headers now:

And here's a vid of my mufflers installed on my buddies 78 F250 with a built 400 to see how they'd sound:

Haha thanks. It wasn't a good video because he never really revved it up much. It was a cold start though so that wouldn't have been a good idea.

The 400 I will have built will be in the 510hp/520tq range so it will sound even better than this.

Got the headers and header extensions put on. Mufflers are just hanging off the extensions for test purposes.
