New 2014 stx sport exhaust

Hi guys, New here. Just bought a 2014 stx sport supercrew with the 5.0. I've been listening to a bunch of sound clips, and I've narrowed it down to magnapack, dynomax bullet, or muffler delete. I'll be keeping it si/so, possibly cutting the resonator off, tucking the tailpipe under the fender behind rear wheel.

I really like the sound of the Roush and borla atak, but I'm not willing to shell out that much cash. I'd rather buy the muffler and take it to my local shop. What is the closest sounding muffler to the Roush, I've read that borla makes the Roush systems?

I'm wanting throaty, loud, drone doesn't really bother me. How big a difference does taking the resonator off? Which would you guys recommend for what I'm after?

Thank you guys

I've had a single and now dual bullets on my 03 and I love the sound. It's got a nice rumble but gets higher tone with RPMs and power.

I haven't really looked into doing exhaust on my '14 5.0

I would recommend one of the Borla XR-1 mufflers, would be great for what you are looking for, even possibly the Borla proXS muffler 14" length. You're going to want to take off the resonator for sure if you want it to sound louder, the resonator makes a pretty big difference in sound.

I have a 5.0 in mine, and I replaced the exhaust with a magnaflow SI/DO kit with a dual exit behind the right rear tire a.k.a. harley style, I later deleted the resonator, and then swapped out the 18" muffler in the kit for a 14" one. The thread I made has some sound clips to listen to for comparison.

I've decided to delete the muffler for now, and keep the resonator. It's cost effective and I can swap in a muffler if I don't like it.

What size pipe are you guys using after the resonator to connect to the rest of the stock piping? I'll probably have the shop hide the stock tailpipe up under the rear fender so you can't see it.

Thanks

I know after the resonator it goes from 2.5" to 2.75" into the muffler then 3" after the muffler so I would just do a 2.5" connector to a 3" pipe

****update****

I cut the muffler off yesterday and dumped the exhaust out behind the axle. It's definitely loud, and alot of drone. My wife hates it, so I'll be changing it soon. Only cost $40 so not in too deep lol.

I can't decide between all the different borla mufflers, and the magnapack. I like it being loud, it's the drone I want to lessen.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Do any of you guys know if you can buy just the mbrp muffler instead of the catback kit?

Thanks
